The best is still the best!
I have been using Voit Duck Feet since the mid 1960's when they were 2 tone blue and made in Malaysia. I had one pair that despite regular use lasted 25 years. I could not believe it! The fin that never died! Since then there have been changes in both the ownership of the company and the country in which the fins are manufactured. Somewhere in the mid 1990's I replaced my pair from the 60's or 70's and was very disappointed with the replacement Duck Feet fins: the inside of the foot box was rough, not soft and smooth as they were originally, and they tore up the tops of my toes! I noticed that the "bad" pair were made in Mexico. I have nothing against "Made in Mexico", but is ain't Malaysia, the rubber capital of the world! I returned the fins and tried to find a better Boogie Boarding fin; I couldn't, so I quit Boogie Boarding! I never found a better body surfing/Boogie boarding fin. Heck, they even work well for snorkeling. They are THE number 1 choice of So Cal beach lifeguards. Some people like Churchill Fins but I am definitely not one of them; they lack the thrust I use to chase down a wave. Well, I am pleased to say that Duck Feet are back, and back in a big way: new super smooth/soft foot box, softer yet still powerful fin blade, and best of all they are once again Made in Malaysia, They are ideal for use in body surfing and boogie boarding . . .but your legs must be in shape to use them and your feet must be conditioned as well. They are not intended for use with SCUBA gear and lack the necessary stiffness to allow the user to swim around with a tank. For SCUBA there are many better choices, such as UDT Duck Feet and a host of others. If you plan to use them, remember, the people that like these fins tend to have very fit legs and well conditioned feet, especially if they use them often for that which they are intended. It is not uncommon to have some foot pain when conditioning your feet to use these fins; this usually goes away with repeated use. Give them a try, but remember, you may need to use them in a pool first to condition your feet and strengthen your legs. I bring them to a pool or beach and over the course of 2 to 4 weeks gradually increase the distance and force with which I kick... thereby avoiding toe blisters . Do it right and you'll love them, I sure do! Finally, FYI: They do not float in salt water!

As good as the originals from 20+ years ago
I agree with many of the other reviews. These are as good as the originals from decades ago -- high quality rubber, look really good, and work amazingly well. I have a pair or Churchill Makapu fins also, which are also outstanding for boogie boarding. Buy either one and you won't go wrong. I think the Voit Duck Feet give me more acceleration, but they also require stronger legs. So that's the trade off -- do you want off the line speed to get into the wave or an easier stroking fin. I like both, which is why I switch off depending on my mood!

There's a lot of fins on the market but Duckfins ...
There's a lot of fins on the market but Duckfins are the standard. They flat-out work and will save your life or someone else's. I live in Hawaii,& body surf Pipeline, Point Panic, Sandy Beach, Makapuu, everywhere. I ALWAYS carry my Duckfins with me. No hype - they work.

Voit Duck Feet are, have always been the best I've ever used. So started in the pacific ocean in 1967....Huntington Beach Ca......body surfing, free diving.......from before dawn to past dusk.......I've tried Churchill, U.S Divers Jet fins, and more......these are always the best. Regardless.

I may need to apply some "Mole Skin" protection to my feet to continue to use these fins which WORK GREAT!
I wear a 10.5-11.0 wide shoe and the XL fits very snug. The tops of some of my TOES RUB RAW even with a thin sock. I may need to apply some "Mole Skin" protection to my feet to continue to use these fins which WORK GREAT!

Great fit, perfect for children with smaller feet
We have searched high and low for boydboarding fins to fit our youngest son. These are the smallest we've been able to find, and we are thankful that they are a great quality too.

Best for Body Board
Just tried them out over the weekend. Caught some epic rides on my body board, barrelled at Paradise Cove Labor Day Weekend.

Feels as good as the ones I bought in 1991
These are a replacement for a pair I purchased in 1991. So far so good. They fit as well and feel as good as the original pair.
