Hard to know exactly how accurate without direct comparison with a verifiable, alternative temperature source.But, comparing with another thermometer elsewhere on my premises, and also with a well regarded weather app, I would say accuracy is good.Make sure you put it in a suitable location (out of direct sunlight and away from surfaces which might modify local temperature) and at this price I'd say very good value.

This is not really a bad piece of kit for the price, it does the job adequately.When I first got it I put the whole lot by the Youshiko thermometer that I use in the living room, making sure that the probe on the wire sensor and the vents that take the Reading on the main unit of this item were very close to the one that the Youshiko uses for itself. I left it for half an hour, after that length of time the sensor readings for this unit compared to the Yaushiko were:Internal was lower by 0.3°cExternal lower by 0.6°cSo really not too bad for such a reasonably priced item.I've now set it up up. My external sensor is wired under the eaves of the back door of the house where it doesn't get any direct wind or sunlight and where rain and snow never gets. The wire comes along under the guttering and in through the kitchen window. Plenty of cable to do this and in fact too much to spare in my case. I wish it had been 2 feet shorter.The main unit is on the wall at the side of the window and I'm pretty confident that the readings will be accurate enough for me to know when there are treacherous driving conditions. My car has no external temperature gauge....The stand is really stiff to open and came off the first time I opened it. It was simple enough to clip back as it only goes in at the hinges by friction. Luckily though the battery compartment slides open along with the stand so it is not too much of an issue. It also have a screw holder if you prefer to wall mount.Time will tell as to its reliability. Having no external battery needed I don't really see what can go wrong apart from the main unit.Nice item, especially for the price.

Very accurate & easy to set up

I bought this in November 2023. It worked very well up until recently. Now the minimum/maximum and resetting buttons have become very temperamental. Most of the time it is not possible to discover the minimum temperature, and on the odd occasion when I do manage to, I often can't reset the device. I had hoped that it would last much longer than this. Ian Wilson

This is outstanding and very easy to use it have it near a window with the probe on the outside of the window. I would recommend this product to anyone who is just investing in a simple and yet so easy to use thermometer.

Stopped working.It just says the outside temperature is -6.9A waste of money
