Design flaw with pen holder
Great content. My daughter was very excited when I gave it too her.Book unfortunately has a design flaw - the pen plastic casing/holder is glued to the front cover. This means that all the left-hand pages cannot lie flat on the table. As a result my child cannot write over the large protrusion. This isn't good if you are learning to write and hold a pen properly.We ended up ripping the casing out of the cover and taping over the resulting rips and all the sticky glue residue.

PERMANENT PEN - RUINS CLOTHES!
Why use a permanent pen in a product meant for toddlers?It does have a warning that it won't wash out of clothes on the back but we didn't see that and our daughter immediately ruined a brand new top. I can't believe it's not possible to find a washable wipe clean ink so my advice is don't buy this as it's just not suitable for small children.

Doesn't Wipe Clean
Bought this book plus 2 Collins wipe-clean books. My son is most interested in this book, but it doesn't wipe clean if you leave the pen lines more than a few seconds (eg. if they dry). So after the first day several pages are unusable.Like others have mentioned the design of holding the pen at the front of the book making a lump under the page is a bit annoying, but at least it keeps the pen safe together with the book.

Pen broke within minutes
Considering this is aimed at a pre-school age group you would think that the pen it comes with would be slightly more robust and be able to cope with a little person who uses a full hand grip. Sadly this didn't last more than an hour or so before the nip slipped into the main body of the pen shaft and we can't get it out rendering this product useless. I would have given more stars if that didn't happen.

comes with pen with a cleaner on the lid,pages are coated so its easier to wipe clean and is good quality.
