Worked for my Surface Pro3.
The first delivery was a factory reject. Case housing the electronics was split open like it warped from storage. Was exchanged and arrived in a box after a couple of days. This time, the unit was ok. Was able to download dozens of photos and videos from my recent trip written in my regular size sd card that I use in my Nikon camera into my computer.

Adds much more functionalit to my Surface Pro 6
With the addition of this dock I am able to attach my surface to a monitor and also use an old laptop hard drive. My 128 gb storage now has a 500gb extra drive, enabling me to save and work on much bigger documents. The surface is now my desktop replacement for browsing the web, word processing and excel work. No instructions, but no fuss either, just plug in and go.

HDMI connection quit after few weeks
Worked great for a couple weeks. Now mini HDMI connection dead. Wasted $$$

CHEAP KNOCKOFF
JUNK! DO NOT BUY. This is a cheap knockoff that does not come close to the actual Microsoft dock.
