OGX Charcoal Clarifying Shampoo for Oily and Greasy Hair, 385 ml (Pack of 1)

I was specifically looking for a shampoo and conditioner that is good for hair that quickly gets greasy, when I found this.I used it yesterday, after using 2 different top brands interchangeably for the last 5 years which started making my hair greasier quicker than usual, and feeling thicker, heavier and coated in layers of products. I also bought the conditioner from the same brand that contains keratin and argan oil, and I used that after the shampoo.These products left my hair feeling much cleaner and lighter than other products, and it was also smoother, as well as very shiny. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell lovely, too. Also, my hair still feels very clean and light and isn’t greasy, unlike when I used the previous products.I’m happy I gave this shampoo a try and I will continue using it. I recommend trying it yourself if you need a change in shampoo, like I did. I know others haven’t been so happy with it, but you don’t know unless you try, and the price at the moment is pretty reasonable, I think.I hope this review is helpful to at least one person out there!

I have issues with my hair/scalp.. and still do but not as much since i started using this brand.I use now and again a few different ones from ogx but my 2 fav are this and the purple biotin one.This one when i wash my hair, it gets rid of the top layer of dirt/greese.. i wash again and it makes my scalp feel CLEAN ..like i can actually feel cleaness and the scent ..to me smells alot like LYNX ..not as manly like but a lush clean smell of it.. i cant explain it 🤣 ..But when i buy this i DO try to get it either on sale or at cheapest price.. it may be good but money is always tight.But since i started using ogx shampoos/conditioners.. (maybe since 2020🤔) iv not used any other!!

I was looking for a clarifying shampoo that would 'detox' my hair and give it a much needed clean from the hairstyle products buildup.This is a mid-range priced clarifying shampoo that is not too drying or harsh on the hair. The bottle looks nice in the bathroom and the smell is decent (not an overwhelming fruity/floral so it is suited for unisex use). It contains charcoal, so when you squeeze the product out, it has a translucent dark colour. I don't know how effective the charcoal actually is though.My experience using this shampoo is that it foams enough to give the hair a satisfying wash and the water runs almost clear. Don't worry about the colours staining your towels because it doesn't leave any marks. I mentioned that the smell is decent and unisex, so it is a great choice for the entire family to use. HOWEVER, if you are sensitive to perfumes, steer well clear!After washing, the hair is easy to brush and doesn't tangle as much as before. Which means less hair being pulled out.Also, read the ingredients carefully if you are looking for all natural ingredients, this ain't it but then it doesn't claim to be organic 100% natural shampoo. It just says sulfate free surfactants.9/10 washing experience -good foaming action, pleasant smell suitable for men and women7/10 price -found cheaper ones in the supermarket7/10 Clarifying performance -not sure if it is clarifying my hair. Just use it as sulfate free surfactant shampoo and you will have not a complaint.9/10 packaging -good, sturdy bottle. Looks nice in the bathroom.10/10 delivery -was prompt and also packaged securely no dent on the product upon arrival.

I have extremely dry curly hair which has in the past needed a tonne of conditioner and conditioning treatments to even stop it frizzing half as much. Suffering from psoriasis hasnt helped. forthe past about 10 years ive always had a thick buildup of flaky skin on the scap unable to get rid of it even tar shampoos have not helped. treatments such as tony and guy and aussie shampoos and conditioners have done nothing. I didn't hold much hope for this (i bought the shampoo and conditioner) have used it 3 times (washing only once every 4-5 days due to how dry my hair is) and my scalp is close to being clear. im actually gobsmacked by it. my hair still has a frizz to it but even the scalp and top of my head feel soft and conditioned (even though i only condition the ends) instead of like straw. amazing stuff, this is my only brand from now on.

I was quite disappointed with both this and the conditioner. You need over double the amount to get a lather and cover the whole scalp so would work out very expensive if you were to use this regularly. The smell is pleasant. I usually need to wash my hair daily as I have greesy roots but since using this I've been able to leave it an extra day or two. It does leave my hair very static for the first couple of hours so that's annoying.

Oh, this is lovely shampoo. The lather created is rich and sumptuous. Your hair is left soft, shiny and full of body. I actually look forward to washing my hair to be able to use this shampoo. It reminds me of a very expensive shampoo, one of the first that didn't use sulphate, and which cost me an arm and a leg.My hair is very fine so I've always had to be choosy for one that didn't weigh my hair down. You only need a very small amount to work up this delicious lather so it will last for ages. A low price for such a wonderful shampoo.
