USB to DMX512 3PIN XLR Interface Adapter/dongle Computer PC Stage Light Controller Dimmer USB to DMX RS485 Serial Converter Cable (Length:16ft)

Pretty straightforward USB to DMX adapter. I occasionally work with DMX lights with some community theatre groups and ended up needing some computer control lights for a small project at work. I did some of the setup and initial testing on a 2019 Macbook Pro and macOS 12.6 before moving it over to an off-brand PC and Windows 10. No real issues with either just make sure you have FTDI D2xx drivers installed. I already had those on my Mac since I work with Arduino and other MCUs that use FDTI USB to Serial interfaces but had to get the driver for the windows computer. Once that was taken care of took almost no effort to get it and the light fixtures I was using running with QLC+

Bought adapter to test DMX lights. Ended up using the unit to drive a second universe. Works as well as ENTTEC Pro except you cannot change the frame rate. The unit has been working everyday since May 2024 running on Linux.

I was under the impression that this was plug-and-play. I've been doing lighting for years and wanted something I could use in my home theater and just never got around to getting anything for that until I bought this thing. The actual plug/adapter worked great...once I downloaded a program that worked. The program that came with this is a piece of junk. No matter how hard I tried, it never worked. I even brought in a long time lighting colleague and he concurred...the program sucks. 3/5 stars because at least the part works fine.

The description indicates Mac compatibility. It came with Windows drivers, and not Mac drivers. When I contacted the company for instructions on how to configure it for a Mac, whether or not it needed drivers or was compatible without them, they advised me to let an engineer do it. Needless to say that I returned it. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I'll never know. I subsequently purchased an Enttec USB to DMX interface. I was able to configure it without problem and without hiring an engineer.

Works great. Much better then spending 300.00 that I have to update (Force to upadte) every 90 days. This one does not require that which is really good if your DJ / Light control laptop never sees the internet.

Working well so far. Instructions are in Engrish. (sic) Comes with a mini-CD, which is fine, but prefer to download because CD trays are a little harder to find these days. I was able to make it work with FreeStyler x2 and QLC+. QLC+ took a little while longer to figure out. But as a beginner I am decently pleased.

Macht was es soll und das gut nur eine online Anleitung mit Treibern wäre hilfreich sollte man wie ich seine mitgelieferte nicht mehr finden

Great Dmx Interface, using 2012 macpro/10.14.6. No issues working with Lightkey (you don't need to install drivers), however, will not work with Enttec Emu software. I do believe the Enttec software has chipset recognition only allowing (very expensive) certain interfaces to be recognized. I experienced no latency with this interface, no crashing or freezing. Update in the future if I have any problems. So far, so good!
