Hi dear all, can the chiller unit be out doors ?

Unfortunately not, indoor-use only.

Would this unit work for a cold plunge tub? How cold could it make a 500 gallon tub?

The Active Aqua chillers are designed for hydroponic and aquarium applications, and have not been tested in cold plunge tubs (indoor use only). The 1HP model is rated for 80-250 gallons, and would not be adequate for cooling 500 gallons to low temperatures.

What is the best pump (from bathtub) to use if I want the chiller (1 Ho) 15 ft away from tub & pump.

You need a submergible pump that has the specifications for the chiller
