Truly an essential jacket.
This jacket is true to size. I was kind of worried because it seemed very thin, but when it was tested during a snowstorm, it proved to be an excellent purchase and kept me warm. It’s lightweight, and very well made. The inner pockets are large - which I love because I find most inner pockets to be too small. These are on the larger end which really makes it well worth the investment.

Good rain, wind and cold weather jacket.
I bought this hooded jacket for my upcoming April 2026 European cruise for multi-purpose use - rain and cold. This will make me leave my raincoat and puffer jacket home to lighten up my luggage. I am 5’10” at 180 lbs. I wear 44 on suits. It still has room for a vest or a sweater inside. For the price this is perfect for me. Quality is good and I like the brown color. Most of my jackets are either gray or black color so this is a good change. The pockets have zippers which I like.

Almost a perfect fit
I bought a few similar jackets from different manufacturers and the plan was to keep the one that fit the best. This one came in second place, and I had to return it because another one fit me a little better. I ordered the small, and I am 5'6" tall and 150 lbs with short limbs and a wide frame. Nothing fits me well, so I usually have to settle for something that is close but not perfect. This jacket fit perfectly, but the sleeves and overall length were just a little bit longer than a competitor. I honestly would have kept this jacket if I had not tried the competitor's, because the extra length was negligible and comfortable. Generally speaking, this jacket style runs a little long in the sleeves for people like me with short arms. Then, if you buy a size extra-small (usually not available), it's too tight or too short in the overall length. This is a nice, well-constructed, lightweight jacket that feels warm. It's much lighter than a parka but it seems like it will work for cold and wet weather around 40-45 F. The hood also fits well without a hat and it seems like a very functional go-to jacket for cold rainy weather. The wrist elastic could be a little tighter in my opinion, but it's basically snug around the wrist. You can probably put a few stitches in the material and make it tighter with some clever sewing.

Lightweight autumn jacket
It is worth noting that the jacket is quite thin; however, it is comfortable for mild spring weather—you won't overheat in it—and for the price point, I think it is perfectly adequate. It is convenient that the zippers are sturdy and the pockets also feature zippers, which makes for a very practical design. The jacket features a classic style and includes a hood—an important detail—though for truly cool weather, you will certainly need to wear a substantial layer with a collar underneath.

Great Lightweight Layer That Punches Above Its Price
Great Lightweight Layer That Punches Above Its Price. My new Fav Jacket As an Amazon Vine Voice reviewer, I’ve tried quite a few “budget-friendly” puffers over the years, and this Amazon Essentials lightweight packable hooded puffer genuinely surprised me—in a good way. First off, the value is hard to ignore. At around the $25 mark (especially on sale), this jacket feels like a smart grab for everyday wear. I ordered the Medium in Caramel, and the color looks clean and versatile in person—easy to pair with jeans, joggers, or even casual workwear. The fit is true to size with a comfortable, regular cut through the shoulders and chest. It leaves enough room to layer a hoodie or sweater underneath without feeling bulky. Warmth-wise, this is not a heavy parka—and it doesn’t pretend to be. But for 40–55°F weather, especially here in coastal Southern California, it’s perfect. On chillier mornings or windy evenings, it holds body heat surprisingly well for how light it feels. With a light fleece underneath, I’d be comfortable dipping into the high 30s. For real winter conditions or snowstorms, you’ll want something heavier or use this as a mid-layer. What I really like: * Lightweight and easy to throw on—no stiffness or bulk. * Water-resistant shell handles light rain and mist without soaking through. * Packs down neatly into the included drawstring bag. Great for travel, tossing in the car, or keeping in a backpack “just in case.” * Zippers feel solid for this price point. * Elastic cuffs and hem help trap warmth without feeling tight. A few things to keep in mind: * The hood does not have a drawstring, so in windy conditions it can move around a bit. * The insulation is synthetic (polyester), so don’t expect premium down-level warmth. * If you’re between sizes and plan to layer heavily, you may want to size up. * This is more water-resistant than waterproof—steady rain will eventually get through. It’s machine washable, which makes it easy to maintain, and it dries without losing its shape or loft if you follow the care instructions. Overall, this feels like a dependable, everyday “grab-and-go” jacket—great for travel, commuting, outdoor events, or layering for light winter sports. For the price, it’s honestly hard to complain. Bottom line: A lightweight, packable, and surprisingly warm everyday jacket that delivers excellent value—just don’t expect it to replace a true heavy winter coat.

Great and affordable jacket for everyday!
I bought this for my 14 year old grandson who needed a warm but not bulky jacket for every day wear. It’s a great color, quality materials and he told me it’s very warm but doesn’t make him feel hot! He’s 5’71/2” and weighs about 135 lbs. I bought him a medium, hopefully he won’t grow out of it this season-which is highly unlikely ‼️😊

No quality control, MADE IN CHINA
When zipped, the zipper track was crooked. No amount of pulling up or down, twisting would straighten it. Made in China, poor quality control. Sent it back. Not much movement in the shoulder area, snug fit 6'2" 300 lbs. Looked good, putting hood on and off was excellent, $20 price was good.
