DLS 315W(4200K) CMH CDM 120/240V Grow Light Fixture kit Opened Style External Ballast

I ordered 18 of these in Feb 2018, started use in the beginning of March and 2 bulbs have failed. Both look like the one I have shared a photo of in my review. Scary crack in the porcelain and blackened bulb. No water came near the bulbs and I used 100% alcohol and nitrile gloves to install. So no oil smudges. SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD!!!I gave 3 stars because the units are nice and work as advertised. No idea why 2 bulbs failed.***UPDATE***As of March 1st, 2019,I have now 6 bulbs dead.1 ballast out of 16 is dead.Yes, you get what you pay for and these were a good deal for everything you need.Now I just have to spend a bit more to get some good bulbs like USHIO or Phillips.

Product ( balast and reflector are great ) bulb included is garbage as it the customer service.They do not seam to respond to customer emails when there are warranty or repair questions.Other wise a great product.

This light replaced a 600w HPS in a4x4, also use 2 300w LEds, less heat, excellent results. Will need ventilation. I am in the open reflector camp when it comes to reflectors. CMHs is the king of the hill for now. This one a bare bone prince. Lamp it came with showing better results than a HP'S lampUpdate: 26May2018, excellent results in later plant stage, Pro results. Ventilation a must. This kit has everything you need, great price. Daisy chainable a big ++. Update Nov2018 . Grow like a Pro. This light is Best bang for the buck in a 4x4.
