Amazing book, learned a lot about X

I love it it’s great the quality is great it’s a great book it teaches a lot about X from when he was a kid to when he died

It came great and was a great book, if you read it don’t let it be your whole judgement on X as a person. I feel as if it didn’t touch enough on his life as his fans would like. In my defense the book was only written a couple months after he passed away. But other than that it’s a good book.🕊️

This book taught me a lot about my favorite artist i’ve been a fan of him since 2018 hearing about his death really got to me although I don’t stand with the things he did when he was younger, but he was proving to us that he was trying to become a better person like a lot of people say we know the artist not the real person behind all the fame.

I like the book kinda feel like he’s blaming whites for xs actions tho x would even say what he did was his fault good book but again feel like it’s targeting white ppl for jahs actions

I've read all of Jarett Kobek's books. The thing that keeps drawing me in is how relevant his writing always seems. I don't know if this perceived "relevance" is due to his choice of subject matter, his ability to clearly articulate thoughts that had previously only nebulously existed in my head, or because his style is funny and easy to read. Whatever it is, it's a good drug. I like XXXTentacion. I was listening to his new album when I found out this book existed. I also knew relatively little about his famously "problematic" personal life. Kobek's book makes me happy that I didn't bother following the XXXTentacion media circus. He was a bad guy. He was also talented. He was black and young and mentally ill. He was famous despite countless disadvantages. He was, in no uncertain terms, doomed. This book is a corrective against the white liberal virtue signalling that masks America's atavistic need to publicly destroy dangerous black boogeymen. Kobek doesn't excuse XXXTentacion, but he doesn't excuse the social system that Frankensteined this monster either. Ronald Reagan is guilty. Steve jobs is guilty. Jarret Kobek is guilty.
