Used with Nexus 10, love it (with some alterations)....
I was looking for a cheaper teleprompter solution for my small video production company. We do commercials, training videos, long form interviews etc. It was such a pain working with non-actors who couldn't remember basic lines. We used to waste literally hours on 4-5 lines of text on a gig. I found this unit and decided to give it a try. When it first arrived I realized I wasn't going to be able to break it down quickly and easily that it was basically set up and and the glass was going to be exposed during travel, so be careful. After a few tests I noticed my eyes (along with others) eyes shift to the left dramatically, I looked up tutorials and tips and found it was a combination of maybe 2 things:1. Instead of horizontal the tablet (in my case, the Nexus 10) needed to be vertical with text being as big as possible.2. The covering cloth that came with the unit was letting light leak in and maybe that was causing an issue? I googled how to make a better (bigger) cloth and found some tutorials easily. I went to Jo-Ann's (fabric store) bought about $10 of material made my own replacement unit. I am very happy with the results, the shifting eyes are gone and its much easier to see the text regardless of reflective surfaces on location.I use a canon 5d Mark III and manfrotto gear, so far no issues. I bought 2 quick release plates, one to quickly connect the teleprompter to the tripod and one for the camera to teleprompter. Great investments, quick and easy on all my gigs.Overall, the quality is fair and once I made those alterations it became a worthwhile investment. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone on a budget but need a standard quality teleprompter. Just keep in mind you may have to make alterations to it but it didn't take very long once I understood what I needed to do.Very much worth the money, I get the results I need during productions!PS you can see a video test I did with it (with alterations) if you youtube: "teleprompter test fresno watch the eyes"I quickly googled some monologues from famous movies and we read them live, no preparation. You'd be crazy to get anything else
The simplicity of this product is nothing short of genius. I was initially concerned that about sacrificing video quality with my mid-level camera but if anything the addition of the cloth has improved the video quality. If you're looking for a working prompter this will work for you and leave you room in your budget to improve other aspects of your videos.I was disappointed when the product arrived with the glass broken but the seller responded quickly and went above and beyond to make sure that I had a working teleprompter on my first shoot. The product was a little difficult to put together (I'm not mechanically inclined) and again when I contacted the seller they responded quickly and didn't let me go until setup was complete. The chances that I'd write a positive review after having the product arrive broken were slim and none but the customer service really was above and beyond any experience I've had when faced with similar problems. I'm happy to support more people who run their business like these folks.

Screw job
Given that other teleprompters are $1,000 dollars, this is a quite good product for the price....why three stars instead of five? Because the screws that come with it are absolute nonsense. If you purchase this, you will see.Plan a trip to Home Depot for screws with properly shaped heads.

Good Buy
Bought this for my Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece. Case is as described however in the photo it appears to be foam lined. The interior is lined but very thin and not soft foam material. The headset fits with room to spare. The sides of the case or I should say h top and bottom of the case are a hard/stiff material. The case provides excellent protection for the earpiece if you put it in a purse or bag. I don't think it will fit in a trouser pocket but would work in a cargo pocket. For the price it is well made and a good investment to protect your earpiece. Much better than just leaving it out on the dresser.Update: I also have a Motorola Flip earpiece that will fit with the other earpiece so I can store both in one case.

Love the batteries. Hate the charger!
I love these batteries. They fit nicely with my new Hero 3+. The batteries align well with the Hero 3+ housing pins. No force needed to insert the battery with ease.I returned Wasabi Battery because they didn't align with the newer Hero 3+ battery housing pins. After fully charged, I let it record 1080p - 48Fps - Superview and it lasted about 1hr 30 mins, better than the original GoPro batteries. The only thing I don't like is the wall charger, which only outputs at 600mA, should be 1A. It takes longer to charge the batteries. Also the car charger that plugs to the wall charger should use USB pin instead. Then I can use my cell phone charger to charge these batteries and not with Smatree proprietary car charger only. One less charger to bring on a trip.Overall I am happy with these batteries for their quality and price.

A review after four years
These batteries worked roughly the same as OEM for about two years. Last year, I started getting a quick discharge in my Hero3+. Today they will not hold a charge or power up my GoPro at all. Bottom line: I got 2-3 years of decent use from these batteries. If you consider the price, perhaps that is acceptable. I've had no problem with the charger; it still charges the OEM battery, which works just fine.
