Our family had a similar toaster for well over 10 years when it finally died. I can't tell you how many homemade Egg Muffins we made on it. When it quit working, I bought a cheap toaster to replace it. I had no problems with it, but my wife absolutely wanted another one with the egg cooker. She likes hard boiled eggs as a noon snack. Our old one perfectly cooked up to 8 at a time, both quickly and with very little water. She found this one and immediately asked me to order it. This won't toast four slices like our old one, but it still does the job extremely well. The toasting adjustment on it is far better than the one on our old one. My wife prefers very lightly toasted bread. I like it a lot darker and the adjustments are consistent. If you like Egg Muffins, poached eggs or hard boiled eggs, this is far better than anything else I've seen, with very little mess and cleanup required. As far as toast, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Please pardon that final dad joke.

Bread capacity and roasting time, taste , ease of cleaning and value for money . eggs and lunch meat tuned out excellent

Bigger than anticipated. Cooks eggs perfectly! Heats precooked meat well. The toast gets brow as you want it however when cooking with eggs it isn’t very warm.

Modifying my original review to 3 stars. This is a great idea. However, the engineering is not worthy of 4 stars. going with 3 stars. Added to my other comments is the fact that the algorithm used for timing the eggs and toast could use improvement. Currently the toast is completed way too soon, before the eggs. Thus when the eggs are done, the toast is already cold. I like this thing but not 4 or 5 stars worth. I have had this for almost one month and have used it about 15 times. So far so good. I previously owned the Back to basics toaster which I believe this one is based off of. Focus group bought back to basics and they also own west bend. I had my previous unit well over ten years and used it multiple times per week. I hope that this unit lasts as long. Summary: These are great for making a quick, good, breakfast. Some people have reported failures with the unit but, mine is working fine after a month of much use. I would give this 5 stars except for the following. West Bend if you happen to be listening ... 1. The measuring cup which you use to add the correct amount of water to cook the egg(s) is extremely difficult to read. This was the same with the b2basics model. And a little water makes a big difference, either your eggs are cooked hard, or runny. 2nd, I have rather large hands XXL glove size. I find it difficult to put the little egg holder into the steamer without it spilling some egg white. If the egg white goes into the chrome steamer, it gets basked on and is difficult to clean. I would design this differently so it is not so difficult to keep the little egg tray "flat" and not spill. I always use a bit of oil in the egg tray but, it is still difficult to get the cooked egg off and clean. Keep working on a good non stick. 3rd When removing the clear plastic top from the cooked eggs BE CAREFUL, I just burned myself with steam a few minutes ago. I would incorporate a simple removable handle for the clear plastic top, so you can keep you fingers away from the escaping steam. Overall, I find this to be great to get a good quick breakfast. I hope it lasts as long as the B2Basics model I had.

I have had an older model of this appliance for years and years (it only makes one egg), and it has been great. This new model has given me nothing but problems. One of the egg pans began flaking off the non-stick coating after only 2 uses. Once this happened, any egg cooked in that pan came out covered in a black film (GROSS). Even just wiping a paper towel over that pan, the towel is covered in a black film (again, GROSS). So that pan is useless. Then, after only a week, the toaster part malfunctioned - it wouldn't stay down. I had to stand and hold the toaster button down the entire time. I contacted the company, and they asked for pictures. Once I sent the pictures, they asked for a video. Before I could even send the video, they told me to go through Amazon for a replacement. I wish they had told me that to begin with, and not after emailing back and forth for almost an entire week.

I bought this for my son to make himself breakfast without having to use the stove. It's so easy to use and cleaning it is quick and easy for him as well. Also great accessory to have while camping! I would recommend anyone who makes eggs n toast for breakfast alot or hard boiled eggs for their protein diet to get this toaster! We love it!!
