Inspiring, enlightening, well acted, excellent production values. Stories from the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita are acted out by a theater group in Varanasi, including scenes on stage, indoors and outside. Very beautiful conception, kudos to the producers and directors. We're waiting to see Part 2.

Excellent quality and excellent acting casts. I was deeply inspired in watching all 3 volumes. Great stories from the Upanishad, Bhagavad Gita & Mahabaratha and other Hindu literature/puranas. I would love to see more volumes added!

All teachings of Hinduism and upnishad covered in this series. If you know Hinduism and upnishad teachings, you will understand these episodes of 20 minutes each in stories easily. Excellent work by Chinmaya mission.

English subtitles or a book will be of great help. This is a good way to learn Indian culture for young and old people

Not like actual Upanishad but tells the story, there is only so much you can fit in the tv show. Great attempt to bring forward ancieant scriptures into mainstream hinduism.

Since B.R Chopra's Mahabharat this is the best program on Doordarshan and the subtitles make it easy to use for non Hindi speaking audience too. Loved it.

This serial is very interesting and knowledable. I have watched few episodes several times. It tells about indian culture and history in a very good presentable way.It must be watched by every indians.I have purchased vol 2 and 3 also and soon i am going to watch them as i get time.I give 10 out of 10 for the tv serial

This series is a must for all Indians! No, it does not have dumb humor or cheap romance found in other television programs.It is a commendable effort by the makers to bring Upanishads to the masses. The Upanishads are the essence of the Vedas, the fundamental scriptures of Sanatan Dharma. This is the true wisdom of the ancient Sages of India and of Hinduism. When you watch these episodes, you fundamentals of Indians philosophy and spirituality will be cleared and you will realize that BEING A TRUE HINDU IS BEING TRULY SECULAR.

A must for all House hold. If you have children watch with them and then discuss the central theme and its application to life. Great help in creating a healthy way of life.
