Rubber-Cal Recycled Floor Mat

I ordered this as a mat to put under my new elliptical machine. The machine took two months to arrive. I had the mat within a few days of ordering it. I left it rolled up in the package, wrapped in plastic, until I was ready to use it. There was no problem unrolling it and placing it on the floor where the elliptical machine was to go. No weird smells or uneven cuts that others have mentioned. It's great and will protect my floors from the weight of my exercise machine. Very happy!

I was not sure if at 1/4" thick, this rubber mat would be durable enough to place my Weider Pro 8500 smith machine on, in order to protect my wood flooring. I am glad I went with this 1/4" instead of a thicker mat, because this one is extremely durable as is. It is basically recycled car tires, which is beyond durable. Given that it's made of recycled tires, I was concerned that it would smell like a tire shop in my home, but the smell is very faint, barely noticeable; you really have to put your nose up against it to sense the smell. If you are buying this for either the Marcy or Weider smith machine, you will need 3 of the 4x7 for just the right coverage.

Definitely worth it, I just wish I had gone for one more size up (but that's on me)! I purchased this as a footprint for my "new" rowing machine, and have it next to a cheaper set of foam locking tiles for the rest of my exercises. It's so stable and comfortable that I wish I had just gotten one piece large enough to be a footprint and replace the foam mat, but live and learn! Downstairs neighbors can't hear me working out at all and the rower doesn't move, all of which is perfect since my gym is also my shared office and sometimes my husband wants to work out while I do homework.

Excellent for use as an excercise or equipment mat. It is heavy but very durable. It has a sort of sweet rubbery odor that is bothersome when used indoor. Leave it several weeks outdoor to allow for most of the odor to diminish.

Bought this mat for my garage body weight gym and it delivered! No more slipping! I can Jim pin it put my plyobox and do my gym rings workouts on this and for the money? It’s a no brainer!It’s heavy enough it doesn’t move but can move it if needed. It’s nice and solid but not spongey like other mats.

This is a very heavy thick mat that has withstood a heavy large treadmill. It does have that tire shop smell to it but that fades after a bit. Even though it comes rolled up it flattens out with no issues. I’d buy it again, and recommend to others.

Very nice product - great for home gyms. We bought 2 rolls that didn't actually line up to be the same size. We had to measure and cut. The product did have somewhat of a tire odor but once we aired out the room it was fine. Also, we damped wiped the surface which did let go of black residue. That seem to take care of it tho. We would buy it again.
