Easy Peace of Mind
After returning home from vacation this year, I discovered that I had been bitten by bedbugs. Totally freaked out. Feared we had brought some home, so had the whole house treated professionally. Weeks of torn up house and living out of sealed boxes. We do not want to have to do that again, nor do you. So we purchased this heat box. I set it up when we leave, and when we return, nothing comes into the house from the car until it is treated in this box, including what we were wearing. Extra work? Sure, but not much. And friends, the peace of mind we now have is outrageous and worth the time and expense. I highly recommend this product. It arrived on time and was fairly easy to set up and use. It stores flat and out of the way. We also recommend you Google what to do before you bring your luggage into a hotel room. Be safe. This product is great.

When trying to get rid of bedbugs we used this ...
When trying to get rid of bedbugs we used this to heat treat everything in a bedroom that couldn't go in the clothes dryer. The styrofoam that attaches to the inside of the lid did curl a bit and fall off after a few uses but I just kept putting it back in and using it anyway. We did load after load of items for days on end and it did the job perfectly. Folds up back into it's original shipping box when you're done with it for storage.

Very effective
Works wonderfully! I actually don't have bed bugs, we had a carpet beetle larvae outbreak. Works on them too! Carpet beetle larvae were everywhere- in the closets, books, shoes, wardrobe, hiding in the carpet fibers. I didn't know what they were until we researched it. In the process of learning about these, I learned about other people who traveled and came back home with bed bugs. I went from being ignorant on both pests to knowing everything. I figured this would be a good investment to help me clear my non-washable things of carpet beetle larvae now, and prevent bed bugs also in the future. I had the place sprayed, bought some diatomaceous earth for dark corners and areas they like to hide, got rid of old furniture and old clothes I hadn't worn in years, and had my landlord replace the old carpets. I also bagged up every single thing I owned, and invested in this. The heat treatment killed six larvae that I found; I wouldn't have otherwise known they were in there. The box gets extremely hot, to about 148F and I leave it for five or six hours while I do other things. I'm sure I haven't completely eliminated every single carpet beetle larvae- I doubt it's possible in California where they are a big problem. But I sleep better knowing I have this as one effective tool to help keep them under control.

ThermalStrike Expedition - Bed Bug Heat Treatment
This is great insurance to have when you come home from a trip.... Take the entire piece of luggage put it in the provided bag with the included thermometer inside and cook away. Heat is the most effective way to ensure that you do not bring any unwanted guests back with you. After any trip the luggage goes directly into the plastic bags and then into the ThermalStrike. Does not take more than a few hours for each piece and they are sealed in a plastic bag while waiting their turn.I purchased this after a coworker brought some home from a business trip and then had to spend $3000 plus to eradicate the unwanted guests. (He was staying in a FOUR star hotel.)This is not a cheap item but well worth the investment and much cheaper than the alternative and worth the peace of mind. The reason I did not give five stars is that the taps that hold the pieces of the oven together are a bit fragile. I had one come loose… simple fix with a bit of Packing tape.Even with this issue I still recommend this item

Works great!
I wasn't sure if I had bedbugs or not, because I didn't actually see them, but after having been bitten badly one one night, with the bites in a pattern that looked like the pictures of bedbug bites when I looked them up online, I wasn't taking any chances. I unpacked everything and put all in black garbage bags to spread everything out in order to help the heat penetrate (did this in the barn, not the house!) I put the garbage bags with my stuff in it in the box a few at a time (to make sure that everything got hot) and after they were done, I did the suitcases (actually backpacks) also in black garbage bags. The ThermalStrike Expedition was easy to set up, easy to use, and got everything as hot as they said for as long as they said.I haven't seen any evidence of bedbugs, so if I had them the box did its job for sure.

Flimsy and keeps falling apart
Really unhappy with this product. I put it together to use last night and it keeps falling apart. It's made out of corrugated cardboard and uses sticky tape to hold it together. The sticky tape does not hold so it keeps popping apart. For this price, I'm very disappointed. I think it's going back. Editing to add that the thermometer melted on first use. I'm working with Amazon on how to resolve this since the seller hasn't responded to my inquiry. Has anyone else had this problem?

OMG
OMG peace of mind you get with this Thermal Strike ..... Took my mind off of those critters. Never had a BB problems before. First time I ever had that problem. Before getting this product I was having dreams with giant bed bugs I was so afraid, because i get asthma and due to that I was afraid I would get bit on my throat and my throat will swell up and i will choke. But after Getting this product I had piece of mind because i seen the video and knew right there that I will be safer. No more bites due to the exterminators as well of course. But this is a time saver. If you use a steamer you will probably get burned a few times with that steam but this all you have to do is place all your items in a large bag that it comes with. This will eliminate all bed bugs that has gotten into your possessions. I mean they have no right to get in our stuff but they do. So Get this please it works im still working on my stuff being safe again. But its worth it. Its worth my piece of mind. There is no price tag for a piece of mind.

required a great amount of gorilla glue to hold it together
This heat box is glorified cardboard. It is very flimsy, required a great amount of gorilla glue to hold it together. The product ended up lasting 5 months. Recently the product had a short in the wiring and burnt the back of the box melting some of it. Luckily it didn't cause an electrical fire. See the picture. I trying to get my money back.
