This helps me easily track the temperature of my compost pile. The different color bars show you when you're in the ideal temp range for composting and takes away all the guess work.

I currently use a Geobin to compost and needed a way to check the temp. This fit the bill perfectly. In about 30 seconds, I can get an accurate temp that let's me know if I need to turn the pile, add more greens, etc... plus I don't get yelled at for using the meat thermometer.

I was skeptical of buying this because it was affordable and I was worried it would be flimsy or just not last long. We have had it for a few months now and it's still working fantasticly, and it's not flimsy like I thought it would be! I think it will last quite awhile as long as we take care of it, and I love being able to see the temp on my compost vs having to guess wether it's hot or not.

Been outside for a few months I think through dune pretty rough rains and such and it's been a champ. Good buy.
