A great performing wetsuit by "Soles Up Front". Soles Up Front childs wetsuit is made from the same materials as a full size adult wetsuit. The childs wetsuit from Soles Up Front means no more shivering on the beach and in the water. The childs wetsuit is both stylish and practical, ideal for young swimmers and junior surfers. Soles Up Front childs wetsuits are available in various colours and feature various design motifs on the front panel. Neoprene is very buoyant, helping swimmers to stay afloat. When sizing a suit for your child please measure the distance from the base of the neck (where the collar bones meet) to just underneath the crutch 6-12 Months = 36cm Chest ; 52cm Neck to Crotch. 1-2 Years = 38cm Chest ; 54cm Neck to Crotch. 3-4 Years = 40cm Chest ; 56cm Neck to Crotch. 5-6 Years = 42cm Chest ; 58cm Neck to Crotch. 7-8 Years = 46cm Chest ; 64cm Neck to Crotch. 10 Years = 51cm Chest ; 70cm Neck to Crotch.

Good quality for the price
I brought age 7 to 8 for my small six year old due to reading past reviews. This fits her perfectly yet is still tight enough to keep her warm. She has worn it in the sea in February in Barmouth and only became cold once getting out. During the past few warmer months it has kept her warm enough to stay in the lakes and sea for a good few hours whilst getting in and out of the water kayaking and SUP boarding ( stand up paddle boarding ), so she was stood paddle in after swimming on a warm day and did not get cold. I feel this is a good quality item for the price tag and does what you would expect it to. Although we were lucky woth the size an adverage to slighter taller child may need up to two sizes to large. I feel we were lucky on the size. They come in a good choice of colors. Given our wetsuit has been given lots of use , climbing etc on knees in and on boats and surfs boards there are no signs of wear so far.

Terrible, terrible fit. Totally useless.
Just awful sizing. No sense of proportion. We holiday a lot in the UK so we seem to be buying wetsuits every year for our rapidly growing kids - and we always find a snug fit. But these ones were just diabolical. We tried the 'correct' size first, ie. the size which seems to describe her actual proportions - we couldn't get it past her waist. So then we went one size bigger - which just left masses of space in her chest area (which filled with water when she got in the water) and the sleeves had tons of empty space in them all the way up to her armpits. In addition, when the wind blew she felt the chill right down her neck as there is no adjuster at the top to tighten the neck point. Just the worst wetsuit we've bought yet.

11-12y size for a 10 year old
I purchased the 11-12y size wetsuit for my soon to be 10 year old daughter, with the intention that she might be able to get a couple of years use out of it and this size seems to be about right. The wetsuit itself has had a couple of outings in a local lake and the river Thames and it has performed well, she has certainly been able to stay in the water longer than without the wetsuit. The wetsuit seems to be of good quality and so far we are very happy with the purchase.

product looks OK but returns policy is terrible.
Bought a size 7 to 8 for my daughter and its just big enough for my 6 year old. thought I could just return it for a replacement but no option to exchange and had to pay £6 to return it for a refund. I looked at the guides and measured my daugter, trying to work out what size to order is a nightmare. product looks OK but returns policy is terrible.

Zip carriage broke in two after 2-3 months' occasional wear.
4 months in and the zip has broken -- pulled on the zip cord to do up the suit, and the whole zip carriage split in two and fell apart. No chance of mending it; metal fracture. I came online to ask for a replacement and my refund window (30 days) has expired. Really disappointed; it's right in the middle of the surf season and only worn... what....8-10 times? This is not cool.

Had a holiday booked in Devon and we were grateful for these as the amount of time spent in our countries cold seas would have been greatly reduced without it. Did order a size up from her age and whilst a little baggy fitted well and did the job.

awkward fit
Body too long. Wrists and ankles way too tight not relative to overall size. Difficult to get on even with talc. Crutch hung too low. Couldn't get it right pulling and stretching. My grandson said it was uncomfortable. Wouldn't. Wear again.

Comes up small
Despite ordering a 14-15 size for my 13 yr old son, there is more ankle and shin showing above his wetboots than I'd expect. The legs are too short on him and I don't think the wetsuit is going to last him the whole season unfortunately. I would recommend others buy big.
