Size doesnt matter
EDIT: Just did a test boot on new build. It works for 64 bit as well. I have no clue what people are doing to this stick to make it not work.my advice is to make sure your motherboard is compatible with 1333mhz for this is a 1333mhz stick.it is also DDR3 and will not work for DDR2 or DDR. It will also not work with a MHz higher or lower then 133mhz.i had a strange doubt about this product only because it came in a bag like package, and when you hold the bag. it feels like absolutely nothing is in it. if you un-roll the back eventually you will find a very slim RAM stick that's half the size of a normal one. it's fragile and very slim however works just fine. i tested it in a 32bit PC and it works. 4GB DDR3 (3GB usable with 32) and does what it does reguardless the size. even though looking at the amazon stock picture for this and seeing that its misleading, its a very good RAM stick. just be very carefull transferring it around. it looks like just one bend it would snap. maybe i just happen to get a different model or a mishap but doesnt affect the performace.

Great Ram for a great price.
So I decided to upgrade my old pc and getting this ram is just the first step in doing that. I made sure that the timings/voltage and frequency of the Kingston Ram was EXACTLY the same as the 4 Gig's I already had installed on my old HP Pavilion. I was a little worried because A. It's an old computer. B. It is an old computer from Walmart and C the Ram that I ordered was a lot smaller (narrower) than the Ram I already have but I'll get to that in just a minute. So basically I only had 4GB of Ram on my pc which really isn't enough. I plan on getting it up to 16GB soon but for now 8GB will be a nice improvement. The Kingston DDR3 ram was a lot narrower than my old stick. I'd say it's only about an inch or an inch and a half thick which is about two to three times smaller than the one I have installed. Fitting it in the correct spot was a pain in the butt though. Normally when you install ram, you pull up the clips on either side and press the ram in until it clicks those clips back into place but this thing was way too narrow for that. It took a while for me to press it in and when I finally did get it in all the way the clips were still pushed all the way up so I had to manually close them with my fingers. I've NEVER had to do this before with Ram. They have always clicked into place for me so I wasn't sure if it would even read the new Ram. Finally I booted up my computer and I got the boot screen which is a very good sign. Normally if your pc doesn't read the Ram then you just get either a blank black screen or a blank blue screen and your PC won't boot. Now I just had to check and make sure that it was reading the Ram properly so I looked and voila it now reads 8GB of Ram :D. Since I made sure that it was the exact same frequency, MHz, timing, etc both sets of Ram are running at the same speeds so one stick isn't throttling the speed of the other or anything. Except for the narrowness which really wasn't a factor in the end everything worked out perfectly and I WILL be buying two more of these exact same sticks. I'd rather not mix and match Ram in my PC and since my original one is also a KIngston I figured I'd just do all four KIngstons at some point.I instantly noticed a speed improvement on booting up my pc. Pages load a bit faster, my boot speed has improved and things are just running a bit more smoothly. 4 Gig's really isn't enough for windows much less gaming and everything else I want to do so 8 GB is a very good start. I can't wait to get two more of these badboys in my computer. All in all I'm very pleased. Shipping was fast as always (Prime 2- day shipping) and I just hope that my new processor upgrade will work out as well as my Ram upgrade did. There's a reason that Kingston is such a well known name when it comes to Ram and you really can't go wrong with one of these as long as you do your homework and make sure that your pc is compatible. Very pleased with my purchase so 5 stars. The narrowness didn't take away from how happy I am with this product. It worked as advertised and that's what's important to me.

Works Great in my old Dell Inspiron 580 Deskop PC (with Intel Core i5-750 processor, Dell bios A07 & Windows 10 64-bit)
Two of these 4G memory modules are working great in my old Dell Inspiron 580 desktop system (with an Intel Core i5-750 processor). The old Dell Inspiron originally had four 1G memory modules. I replaced two of the old memory modules with these Kingston Value RAM 4G memory modules in the 2nd and 4th memory slots from the CPU Processor. The remaining two memory slots (the 1st and 3rd slots from the CPU Processor) have the old 1G memory modules. So my old Dell Inspiron 580 desktop is now running 10GB of ram. It works like lightning now for less than $50. A great upgrade and a great value. I am using Windows 10 64-bit and Dell Bios version A07. If you are using more than 4gb of ram, you must use a 64-bit operating system to recognize all of the ram.

Good, but make sure your MB supports it
This worked great in one of my machines, but not in another. This is a single sided RAM which means each of those IC chips are 512Mb and on one side. Some computers may not be able to recognize this. If it is an older machine double-sided memory will be compatible as each IC is 256Mb even though both are non-ECC, unbuffered, 1333MHz 240 pin DIMMs. Generally, older models can "see" smaller sized chips.

Excellent Product - Just make sure they are seated properly when you install them.
So far so good. This item exceeds my expectation. The only problem I encountered with a few of them was that I got a blue screen after installing them in the pc. I understand quite a bit about computers so I shutdown the computer. Removed the ram and re-seated it. Of course you want to make sure that you unplug the power when installing the ram. I started it back up and the system recognized the new ram. I saved it and was on my way. No more problems. I don't know if its the paint that the ram is coated with or what. But I had to re-seat a few of the rams. Other than that, they are great. Therefore, I am rating it as a 5. For the record, I bought eleven of these rams. I will report any issue but as it currently stands I am happy with them.

Working great!
I have an old Dell XPS 435MT (circa 2009) I'm trying to keep alive for a few more years. I had replaced the hard drive & upgraded the OS to Windows 7 Pro last year, and with numerous other application upgrades over the past several months I noticed it started to bog down. I did a bit of system cleanup to help speed things up again, but also decided to upgrade the ram to the max allowed for this particular machine. After doing some research I settled on these based on price + reviews. I popped 6 of these sticks in and it's running great! Note that different versions of Windows OS have differing memory limits, so be *sure* to do your homework on not only your PC & processor limits, but also your OS limits before placing an order, as I would imagine items like this are non-returnable unless they are DOA.
