Perfect for the job, and much more reasonable price than Clopay or HD
I got tired of having to replace my EZ-set springs every 3 years so decided with the help of a youtube video to convert my EZ-set torsion springs to regular torsion springs which will last a LOT longer and were much cheaper than the manufacturer replacement every 3 years. These were part of the complete kit of pieces needed and all arrived together, and have been easy to fit and work perfectly together to open and close the double garage door multiple times a day and hopefully for many years to come.

Quality drums
Nice lightweight drum that worked great. I converted my Wayne Dalton Torquemaster spring setup to a standard torsion spring setup. These were just the right size and worked great.

Easy to install if you take your time and there's a left and a right side
They worked great just like they're supposed to

Just like replaced drums
These were just like the drums I replaced. I would have given give stars had there been some sort of directions. I really only needed to know how tight to tighten the bolts. I read several places that said don't over tighten or you will strip out the bolt holes. So I went snug, thought I tightened them enough, I didn't and the cable came loose. The did ended up all crooked and wedged. I had to get it back flat and then adjust the cable and retighten the bolts. The second time I tightened them more, so far so good, let's see if they stay. A torque spec would be great. Other than that, they work great.

Worked well, a year in and still doing the job.
These worked well and got me out of a jam. Are they easy to install? Strange question, no easier or more difficult than any other. They work as an OEM would in my opinion.

Good quality
Had to order a new drum for my garage door. After some research I figured that drums come in 4", 5-1/4" and 8" . Mine was a 4" . Then you need the drum capacity. How much cable is going to be wound up. This is for an 8 foot door MAX. That means that if your door is 8 foot and under it will work.Essentially this is your "typical suburban garage door" drum. The quality is good for what it is.It's smart to get the pair for things like this when you order online. If you order one drum and it has a small difference, it can cause issues because both sides of the door need to be wound up at the same rate.Works great on my door and glad I bought the pair since the initial stepped winding groove goes on a little longer than my original.
