Melissa & Doug Wooden Stencil Set With 27 Themed Stencils and 4 Pencils

These were gifted to my eldest son, 7. He loves using the stencils to create scenes. He didn't care for the colored pencils the set comes with but it was easy enough for him to find alternative writing tools to trace with. The stencils are sturdy and satisfying to hold. They are a great size for little hands to steady as they master tracing. My 4 year old also enjoys this set. He loves using the wooden box as his work station. It is conveniently sized and I appreciate the cover serving the dual purpose of storage as well as a flat, smooth work space. My boys struggle to fit the stencils back in so the cover will close but that is more their attention to tidying than a toy design flaw.

I bought these for my 3-year-old as a birthday present because my 6-year-old had some more advanced stencils that the younger siblings kept trying to use. These are exactly what I was hoping for. Very durable to withstand toddlers handling but appealing enough that the older children even want to use them too. I also love that they come with a sturdy wooden box for storage. I feel confident that we will be able to use these for several years.

I bought these to go along with a 5 year old's birthday present. They were a big hit. He loves them. They are sturdy. Also they are small enough that he is able to use them on his own.

The product is a great idea, but the pictures are not easily tracable as some of them are too small. Some other stencils Ive bought can be done with crayons, pencils or even the dot-art blotters, but these are so small you must use a sharp pencil to make it around the small outlines and I find it hard for little ones like my 2 1/2 year old to be able to do this, and most of the time the outline does not look at all like what its supposed to be.

I love these for 3 yr old who wants to steal his sister's stuff. Very sturdy. Need to use better pencils to get clean edge. Box is adorable and will work as storage even after its use is worn out. Didn't give it 5 stars because I still have to clean it up because there is no dividers to stack these in so it is difficult for toddler to pile them in order to put away.

Well made and perfect for my 4 yr. old granddaughter who loves to color and draw. The stencils don't move around when she is working making it much easier to learn and avoids frustration while learning.

I bought this for my 5 year old niece for Christmas and she loves it. The sliding top on the storage box doubles as a work space. After my niece created her pictures with the stencils, she wrote sentences about the picture. Such a fun and creative way for her to work on her writing skills.

I got these for the art center in my preschool classroom and my students LOVED them! They're kinda small so they work best with colored pencils or thin markers. Sturdy wood so they'll survive 20 four year olds for a loooong time. Worth every penny.

Once again, Melissa and Doug come through with a great quality product. I bought these for Christmas gifts for my granddaughters and they will love it. Very solid and durable, these should last a long time
