I've been looking round for a night light to calm my grandson who suffers with autism.Love the fact it is battery operated so can be placed anywhere in the room.He loved it the first time we used it and helped him drift off calmly to sleep.There are several combinations of effects you can use so they never get bored.Also love the idea that it can be used as a lamp by simply removing the dome.Need to but another one now for my granddaughter so she does not feel left out!Great value and would definitely recommend.

Purchased for my son who struggles at night, and we're really pleased so far. The light show is very pleasant, and certainly effective. It distributes well, and isn't over the top or too bright that it keeps him awake. The unit itself is compact enough to fit on his small bedside shelf comfortably, and looks cute during the day when not in use. It doesn't look babyish or garish like some others. It charges quickly and lasts well, via USB cable.I'm already planning on buying another as a gift, and I'd recommend it to others.

I bought this to light up the bedroom whilst my daughter is trying to sleep. She is not a very good sleeper - she stays up and mucks about. Since having this light she stays in bed and loves watching the lights go around.The light has lots of options, you can have different combinations of colours and you can turn the spinning on or off. You can take the lid on or off too - without the lid the shapes are clearer on the walls and ceiling.The only disadvantage to this night light is that there is no timer - so it stays on until I turn it off. As long as I remember to turn it off that is! It would be great if it had the timer functionality.You can use this with a plug or batteries. Freedom to have it in locations that are not near a plug - this is good if you want to maximise the imagery on the ceiling and wall.

The power input port looked suspicious the moment i saw it.Plugged it in and... nothingHowever! after some trial and error i found that if i hold it upside down, while pushing the cable down, and whistle ode to the mountain king it works!All the other functions on the lamp work (including the battery power input) , and it is very nice and calming - i like the rotation with the red and blue light the most.Unfortunately i can't merely replace it for one that might have a decent power input port, so i'm forced to refund it and buy a replacement, and in effect rolling the dice on the Chinese quality control again

Exactly what I was searching for!I have been searching for a new star lamp for my nephew after his old one had broken, probably because it’s been used every night for the last 3 years!I wanted one which was similar to his previous one as he loved it that much, I then came across this one and it’s everything I wanted and more!The old one was the same shapes just in different colour and rotated 360 degree. However this one blows it out of the water with the variety of colours and shapes the settings are quick and easy to change for his liking and the options are fantastic so he doesn’t become bored.He absolutely loves this one and the colour and shape make it look smart and blend onto any surface even when not in use, some can look really cheap and tacky but this one is great!Really cannot recommend enough for young kids or even adults who want to explore there childish side again!

Great value for money, lots of differenr colors which my baby loves

Very disappointed. Bought one with batteries because it was for a child, put batteries in, very colourful and pretty, unfortunately there is no switch to turn off and on so had to remove battery to switch off, not very child friendly! Used it a few times but the last time I did I pressed button B which cracked and disappeared into body! Now in dustbin. Good looking and pretty but very poor quality.

Bought this for our granddaughter, didn't want to spend too much as it's for occasional use. I didn't realise it was battery and as we needed to leave it on all night the battery it came with was nearly dead the next morning. The main issue with it is that it's a pain to turn off, you have to keep clicking buttons and eventually it will go off! would I buy again, most probably not
