The silk worms that eat Mulberry leaves spin their cocoon from one silk thread. Charmeuse is type of weave. Q: Silk from China can be full of pesticides...does anyone know about the source of this silk and how it is grown?

Silk is an animal byproduct, specifically a type of moth. Using pesticides would kill the moth so I would imagine they avoid using pesticides when farming silkworms.
