Good. Both taste and quality
Just overall good. It helped one of my teeth to start growing back after getting a root canal done on it.

Good for what I needed, but the flavor does not last
I wanted this gum because studies have shown xylitol reduces tooth decay (see Wikipedia quote below). I put this in my kids' lunch, because they have had some issues with cavities, and despite my begging that they brush at lunch, I am very sure they are not. I take this gum also, and I chew it after my lunch. I know my kids will chew this, even if the flavor doesn't last long, because it's gum- and all gum is better than no gum. On the negatives side, if you are looking for a gum that stays soft and chewy and flavorful for a long time, this isn't it. I like the flavor- it's not bitter like some cinnamon gums, but I can't say it lasts long. I chew it, feel it freshens my breath and may help my teeth, and the pretty quickly, when it starts to taste like unflavored rubber, I spit it out.what follows is from wiki:Xylitol is a "toothfriendly" sugar. In addition to not encouraging tooth decay (by replacing dietary sugars), xylitol may actively aid in repairing minor cavities caused by dental caries.[citation needed] Early studies from Finland in the 1970s found that a group chewing sucrose gum had 2.92 decayed, missing, or filled (dmf) teeth compared to 1.04 in the group chewing xylitol gums. In another study, researchers had mothers chew xylitol gum 3 months after delivery until their children were 2 years old. The researchers found that the xylitol group had "a 70% reduction in caries (dmf)." Recent research confirms a plaque-reducing effect and suggests that the compound, having some chemical properties similar to sucrose, attracts and then "starves" harmful micro-organisms, allowing the mouth to remineralize damaged teeth with less interruption. (However, this same effect also interferes with yeast micro-organisms and others, so xylitol is inappropriate for making yeast-based bread, for instance.)Xylitol based products are allowed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to make the medical claim that they do not promote dental caries.[9]

This gum is tasty, refreshing, & leaves my mouth feeling clean. It gives you good breath (takes the stink away effectively). I like how it's also a more healthy alternative to other gum. I'm allergic/sensitive to aspartame, so I'm glad this gum does not have aspartame.

This gum truly helps clean my teeth
I bought this gum, not because I want to chew gum, but because I had read in several articles and also heard from my dentist that xylitol was beneficial for reducing plaque. I looked into any dangers of xylitol and, though, I have found certain murmurs, have not found anything against it that is condemning to the point where I am convinced that it actually harms one's health in any way at all. And even if any of the murmurs were true and proven beyond doubt, which I cannot see that they are, they would be more than outweighed by xylitol's benefits, the way it improves your health (and I am a former biochemical researcher). Again, the benefits appear to much outweigh any perceived or actual disadvantages. Of course, if you reduce plaque, you affect more parts of your body in important ways than you may actually be aware of. I am a person who eats only organic food and live a very fit lifestyle, and though this gum is not organic, it does have only natural ingredients, so the ingredients were important to me, as well. Please note: not all Spry products have just natural ingredients. In fact, only their spearmint and peppermint flavors are completely natural. For that reason, I steer clear of their other flavors. In any event, the taste is very good, and all my students like it too, as I can afford to give it out, buying it in 600 count quantities :) . You do have to be aware the taste is short-lived, and that is the only reason I give it four stars instead of five. However, the lifespan of flavor is NOT the main reason, nor should it be, that I or anyone should buy or condemn this gum. As I said, I am not a gum chewer. But, since I have been chewing it, my gums ARE healthier. Small pains in certain parts of my gums that appeared and disappeared over the last five years have seemingly disappeared completely. My teeth actually feel immediately smoother after chewing too. The unforeseen added benefit for someone my age, is that, with age, often comes a loosening of jaw muscles, which can lead to dry mouth as it has in me, as the mouth tends to begin hanging open all night long promoting inordinate amounts of mouth breathing, instead of nose breathing, so you get extreme dry mouth, which can result in a massive increase in cavities because saliva dries up and saliva helps to break down plaque, control bacteria - ask your dentist - look it up. Anyway, using my muscles to chew this has also helped to keep my mouth closed again at night, which has led to a HUGE decrease in waking up with dry mouth (of course this benefit comes with chewing any gum lol). Anyway, as you may also know, if you pay attention to the health of your mouth, your heart benefits, as well, from decreased bacterial exposure. These are all the reasons I chew this gum. And because it is a hell of a lot cheaper and less painful and less scary than going to the dentist for any fillings or root canals. Just FYI, I've nothing to do with Spry. I just tried it at Whole Foods one day, and then looked for it in less expensive bulk pricing from someone reputable online. I'm not sorry. :)

Tastes like Vicks
To be fair, I absolutely love Spry's natural fruit and natural cinnamon gums. But this 'peppermint' is really, REALLY horrible. It tastes and smells like Vicks, like the strongest eucalyptus cough drop ever, the kind you have to spit out almost immediately because you can't take it anymore. Now I know what it's like to accidentally eat Vicks lol. I couldn't detect any hint of peppermint at all, the taste and smell of eucalyptus menthol was too overpowering. Gotta admit though, seriously, it really opened up my sinuses after only a cpl of seconds before I spit it out.

natural ingredients
Easy to chew and freshens breath, although it loses its flavor in 3-5 minutes. I am glad to have natural ingredients.
