Easy to use. Easy instructions for lubricating the shredder. This fits my small office needs for years to come. I'm impressed with the size of the shredded pieces of paper. This shredder replaces one which was just as impressive with the size of the shredded pieces. Though it could only shred a page or two at a time and jammed quite often. It was one used in the Canadian government and sold in an auction back in the 1990s. The brand is no longer manufactured so I purchased the Ideal one and it is definitely ideal!

Could not register to obtain a warranty.... claimed to be life time... the website was in German..... sorry I did find the correct website in English.... the product is great

I purchased this shredder because I have a small office in my house. Compared to my old shredder, this thing is great. I really wanted a quality machine that is going to last a very long time and I think I finally got one. I’ve shredded my junk mail without opening it and stretching it out like I had to with my old shredder—that’s a win and it’s quiet. There’s even a sticker on it stating everything it will shred like staples, paper clips, credit cards, and of course paper and yes, I tested them all. There’s a sturdy plastic bin that the shreds fall into so I don’t have to lift the head, I just remove the bin, very nice; which also means no more vacuuming when I need to empty it. It tells me when my bin is full and it’s easy to move—it’s on casters. It even has a few safety features—it stops shredding if I lift the flap on top or if I open the door. I love this machine!

It works but the side is broke

It's a decent shredder but 1 issue is that when it's full there is no indication except it just stops shredding. The problem with that is if you put more paper in it to shred you can't get it out.

We got this new document shredder for our office thinking it was a nice, big heavy duty shredder but it jams up all the time. It is supposed to unjam itself but that's not what happens. We have to unplug it and pick all of the pieces out with a letter opener or something small enough to get between the teeth of the shredder. It didn't start acting up until we had it for about 3 months and by then it was too late to return. Very disappointed in our purchase.

I like that it was the type of shredder I've been looking for. I use the shredder for shredding household mail and personal documents.

Great shredder for the money. Stands up to heavy use
