New Power Supply Upgrade for COMPAQ PRESARIO SR1500 Series Desktop Computer - Fits The Following Models: SR1500NX, SR150

Worked as advertised. Tech support was very responsive when I had to call and ask how the 24 pin power supply connection converts to 20 pin. The only thing that couldn't be solved dealt with where the power cord connects to the supply box. On the factory original power supply, the cord connector is countersunk and flush with the case. This model has a raised housing that prevented one of the four screws from holding the power supply to the computer case. Two of the other screws went in fine and the third screw was a bit tight.

Good replacement part, delivered quickly and I love the power switch on it to facilitate a cold boot without having to unplug the unit. My power supply had been lightning struck so after installing this one I got the Black screen with white letters telling me I had corrupted root files but a quick shutdown, reseat of the memory card and cold boot put things back on track like it should. Good price too !

It doesn't fit in my Compaq Presario sr1511nx case because there is a rubber flange around the female plug the power cord is inserted into. If the flange was installed on the inside of the PSU then this would not be an issue. I was able to angle the PSU to match up three of the original four screw holes of the PC case with it and get three screws in. If doing the same thing, I recommend using longer screws for more stability.I have used it for 8 hours so far and it works great. If possible, I will edit this post to give an update on how it has held up with more use.

This power supply worked and solved the problem. It was NOT however the direct replacement for the one that was in our Compaq PC. Physically I had to bend a section of the original case and use some alternate bolt holes. So, it's a generic but I was able to adapt the case to accept it.

You definitely know when it is on, it does the job that is intended, but it's fan is something to get use to.

First of all I had to modify the computer case for the power supply to fit, it had only two of the power supply plugs I needed and they had to send me an extension just to make it work . Not really a replacement part in my mind but it did the job
