My son got these for Christmas and has had so much fun with his sea monkeys. We have been buying more for friends as gifts.

We have purchased two full sets and extra eggs and none have hatched. We have followed all instructions, exactly as we were supposed to, and even thought maybe the first batch was a bad batch of eggs, but none have hatched. Very disappointed.

This was a nostalgic last-minute stocking stuffer for my daughters. I'm writing this in mid-March and they're still alive and well and in the center of our kitchen island. The instructions were very easy to follow and aside from the first day or two, they really only require attention once a week. Great for fostering an understanding of nature.

The media could not be loaded. Enjoy watching our sea monkeys grow. At first I wasn’t sure if they were going to hatch. I moved them to a bright spot in my bedroom away from air vents and window to keep temperature from fluctuating. My room stays between 69-72 degrees. It took about two weeks before we could see them. Now I feed every other day and use a small air leash/pump to blow bubbles to aerate water. I use a small flashlight placed on top when I feed them. The light gets them active and feeding. Once feeding slows down I turn flashlight off. It’s really fun to watch.

The media could not be loaded. My 8 year old recieved this as a gift. He was so excited, but when I looked at the package of eggs, it was damp and green and slimy... I was pretty sure it wasn't supposed to look like that considering the instructions say something about "pouring" in the package. I tried bracing my son for disappointment, but he insisted that they were going to work. I followed the directions precisely until it came to pouring in the 2nd packet... that I opened on 3 sides and dunked into the water until most of the green slime washed off into the water. Nothing happened for about a day. Then there were like 4 sea monkeys... 2 days later there was absolutely nothing moving in there again... I didn't want to crush my son's spirit, so we "fed" his "sleeping" sea monkeys before going out of town for a week. When we came back there was a handful of tiny sea monkeys. A couple days later, there are about double the number of sea monkeys swimming around. Apparently you just need the faith and patience of an 8 year old to grow these suckers... because I would have tossed them after a day of nothing growing.

I love them I got to watch them hatch and grow and get big and easy to maintain obly problem is if your house is cold they will die and that was totally my fault so I will be buying them again during the spring and summer months but do love them and did get attached to them for sure while they where alive sad that they died I should have kept them in a warmer place

My daughter wanted me to buy these for her so I did it was pretty neat watching the little shrimp grow but sadly only one lived for a little bit maybe a month or so!!! So if you don’t mind spending your money and time with these little shrimps then you should get it but if not then I would suggest not to buy it!!

I brought this package for my grandchild. He was so excited and his mother followed the directions to the letter (purified water for a day, etc). Unfortunately, not one monkey hatched. Very disappointing!
