I love this coffee! I stock up on Carte Noir coffee every time I go to France, but I haven’t been there since last summer😢. I prefer Carte Noir to Illy and Lavazza, but the Italian brands are easier to find in the US. Do yourself a favor and give Carte Noir a try. Even their instant is better than most coffees.

The first time I had this coffee I really wasn’t that impressed. It was only because I am used to putting all kinds of collagen powder in my coffee so I needed an extra strong flavor coffee. The second time I tried it without putting anything in it besides some half and half then I liked it better. It has a creamy cocoa taste and certainly didn’t make me feel jittery like other coffee that I have tried. I only wished I could pay the real price that they sell in France for about 3 dollars then I probably would have been more pleased. Overall, a pretty good coffee but not as strong as my regular French roast.

I typically order a sweet and smoky coffee. But I wanted to try a French coffee, since I have French in my lineage. And I’m pleasantly surprised that there is no bitterness to this coffee. It’s sweet and smooth. But not overly sweet I’m in love!

The first time I bought this product it came intact and tasted amazing (it's my French boyfriend's coffee of choice,) the second time I ordered it though the package was damaged (which happens, I understand.) I'm mostly upset that when I tried to get a replacement I could select all the items in my package EXCEPT the coffee, which is the actually damaged thing. All the other stuff I bought is fine except for being covered in coffee.

If you like coffee, and by coffee I mean brewed coffee beans not burned espresso with a cup of sugar and gallon of cream, then you will probably enjoy this to some degree. It is nutty and complex, erring on the side of a hint of cocoa to it... honestly it's just worth trying out. We love good coffee in our house.
