This is a great price for such a large bag. Ocean spray cranberries are always fresh and taste amazing. The bag is resealable.

Over the past few years I have tried all kinds of dried cranberries and none of the others measure up to the Ocean Spray genuine craisins. Craisins are sweet and moist and are just right in a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I add the craisins, about an once of same, into my bown of uncooked rolled and steelcut oats, sometimes with a tablespoon of apple cinnamon Bob's red Mill multi- grain hot Cereal. The ratio of rolled oats to steel cut oats is about three parts rolled to one part steel cut and a sprinkling of the apple cinnamon hot cereal. A scant pinch of salt and my ounce or handful of craisins really make my breakfast both nourishing and satisfying.. Ok, for a pretty full portion, great for me at age 72, I give my cat her treat while my cup of water is heating in the microwave for my coffee in the moring. I try to have my cereal ready to heat by the time the coffee water is ready. The actual measurements of my ceral are one quarter cup of rolled oats, one eightth of a cup of steelcut oats and about 1 scant tablespoon of apple cinnamon hot cereal mixed with the quarters cup of water, that scant pinch of salt and my ounce or so of craising. It is actually one of my handsful and I wear a medium latexx glove or a size seven in clothe gloves. I do not have large hands ---- can barely span one octave on the piano. This mixture of oats, craisins , salt and water gets heated in the microwave for two to two and a half minutes. Now, BE CAREFUL if you decide to make this cereal. Use an oversized microwave safe bowl and heat ir with one minute intervals ---- two followed by a 30 second interval if the creal doesn't look "dry" enough. I don't like my owats soupy! I also don't use any milk on this mixture once cooked. It only gets about a tablespoon to two tablespoons of plain white or light brown sugar added to it to make it yummmy! Instead, I add about two tablespoons of no sugar-added hot cocoa mix to my coffee. It makes the instant coffee whic keeps me feeling that I am special with my quicky mocha latte!This bag of craisins is also big enough --- with a sliding closure which works quite well ---- to keep the fruit fresh and soft. It is also sweet enough tha I need less sugar in my cereal most of the time. I also like to throw a handful or so into my bread machine at the proper time to mak Craising Bread, sometimes tiwh nuts and sometimes not. It doesn't seem to matter if I make white , wheat or even rye, everyone seems to like it when I thrown in some craisins to make it a really lucious loat to slice into toast sixed pieces to make any breakfast special. I have even been known to serve a slice of microwave heated or oven baked craisins toat with malted butter, or melted chocolate for that matter.I will be ordering this item again from Amazon.com. I really like that it is one package now. It once was such that I could only order two and that meant that I felt I had to have creaisins every meal of every day, somehow to use them up. Since I like craisins just plain as well as in foods, that was not a difficult task. I hope this review helps someone. I happen to really like craisisnsand this package is ideal for my needs.

Use in salads, calories ok, price good

This is a serious amount of dried cranberries for an extreme fraction of what you’d pay at the grocery store. They were extremely fresh and very tasty. Grateful for cooking or even using and juices.

Ocean Spray is well-known for the quality of their cranberries and this 3 lb package is by far the best deal I've found. I mostly add them to my homemade granola, cereal or just eat them by the handful. They taste great and they're healthy. I go through more than a bag each month and show no sign of stopping.

I miss seeing the ocean spray commercials on TV where the guys stood in water up to their knees with cranberries floating on top. Cranberries have a tangy taste that could eventually help people form friendlier habits, like going for fruits and veggies instead of just meat and junk food for snacks. This journey started for me a few weeks ago when i saw Moby's animal sanctuary on TV and decided to make a conscious decision to buy one plant based product in place of the gummies I usually buy. I can tell you: it may be impossible to make a guy like him proud but following in his footsteps, even just a little, gives hope and mercy to animal lovers. Cranberries are a guilt free snack, but i have to eat them frozen dor the chewy sensation.
