Great Value for quality product - Does NOT slip on/off easy
This particular cartridge butt holder only slips on, it DOES NOT open up with velcro or zipper, which is just fine but may require some effort to get on your rifle. I have a basic 870 Shotgun with stock synthetic butt, and this item is so tight, I had to disassemble the the absorber from the butt and then painfully slip on the very tight end. Not something you take off and put on.

Holds 410 shells perfectly
I wasn't sure this would hold my 410 shells until I read a very helpful customer review. Well they hold them great and make the shotgun a squirrel killing machine. My dad can grab the gun and run out the door with 1 in the chamber and 5 more on hand. He almost got three squirrels the other day. Makes the gun look awesome with the red shells Ugh ugh ugh!!

but like one other poster said
Fits my single shot .410 and holds the shells snugly. I've had it about three months now and a shell fell out only once, but that was when I had it laying down on the floor next to the bed and it must have caught on something (something's been getting my eggs from the coop lately, so I needed it close at night). Also fits 243, 30-30, 303, and 20 gauge ammo. 12 gauge shells fit, too, but were a fight to get them in, but like one other poster said, they'll likely stretch over time to fit more easily. But if you have a 12 gauge and want to use this on other guns, too, and don't want to empty it each time, just get two like I did. They're cheap enough. The butt of my shotgun is about 4.25"x1.5" and it didn't slip over it, so I pulled it on over the barrel end. Worked fine. Nice and snug. The fit is close enough that it hasn't gotten in the way at all when shooting. This little thing is so handy. I absolutely adore not having to think to grab extra ammo AND the gun when I'm in a hurry. It's nice knowing that when I hear the chickens squawk at night, all I have to do is grab the gun and run. Love that. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because while it's well enough made for the price (and worth every penny), it's not such great quality that I think it'll last for years. The jury's still out on if it'll last a year or two, but I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Good Product
Good shotgun shell holder. It holds shells securely with the brass up or down and seems well made. I don't know what more you could ask for in this type of product. I've only had if for about a week, I'll update if there are any durability issues later.

Works well
Fits a NEF/H&R SB1 stock nice and tight and functions as intended. For the price I have no complaints and would purchase again.

tried it this season and it did the job.
I put this on a .20gauge Browning shotgun that I use for Pheasant hunting, to help prevent scratching on the stock form the zipper on my game vest. It works well and the loops hold the smaller .20 shells just fine. It did slip forward a few times, but not past the grip and didn't wobble around. I have another one on a .12 gauge I've used for years. One word of advise from my past experience.Do not leave this on your stock and do not leave shells (especially large gauge) in the loops when putting your gun away after the hunt/shoot. Long term storage like this will stretch out the material and it will lose it's elasticity. That's why I had to buy another one because over time the .12ga shells stretched out the loops so now that's all that will fit. That's okay by me It's cheap enough to own two.
