I used this to replace a coupling on my class A motorhome. It worked perfectly.

This is a great product and I have used this brand for some years now. The thing is that it is at Home Depot at a better price and you have 90 days to bring it back. I buy a lot of things on Amazon but some things are cheaper in some stores. Just compare prices for the same items! So if you don't have a Home Depot near you, Amazon is great, and you don't have to leave your house!

Have a high efficiency furnace, A/C unit that vents outside using PVC vent pipe. We had some yellow jackets get in the house and the only way they could get to the 2nd floor master bedroom had to be through the ductwork. Just to be sure, I purchased a very tight circular screen but needed a fernco-like device that not only fit over the end of the PVC vent pipe but with an inside diameter that would allow the hard metal circular screen to fit and stay put. This worked absolutely perfectly! I take it off during winter not only because the yellow jackets are no longer active but when running the furnace, the vent not only carries out combustion gases but due to it being high efficiency, water vapor. If I left it in place, the tight screening would accumulate the water, it would freeze, block the exit, and carbon monoxide is not my friend. Anyway, this Fernco worked perfectly for something it was not even intended to do.

I bought this specifically to attach an adapter to the dust collection outlet on wood working equipment and it will not work for that. I wish I had read the other reviewer who had the same problem but I somehow missed it. I have an adapter to change the 4" port to a 2 1/2 inch port to match my shop vac. But the tool port AND my adapter are both 4" outside diameter so they do not connect. Another mistake there on my part. I THOUGHT this coupling had a 4" INSIDE diameter and would allow me to attach these adapter. The description says it is 4.02-Inch but the inside diameter is larger. As other people described, it IS a quality piece and seems to be very well made for whatever it is actually used for. But it won't work for my intended purpose.
