Spectra479 Clip-on Blue Light Blocking Eyewear

Both types of lenses are now part of my day. The two lightweight but strong lenses do a superb job! The clips that fit over bridge of glasses are strong but flexible, will not slip off and easily cover my small glasses. (see photo) For the glare of computer screen (which I use much of the day), the Blue Reducing light yellow lens takes effect immediately. I was quite surprised at the dramatic end to sharp stinging eye pain I usually experience. And, I can do so without dimming the screen! The Night Time clip-on lenses to wear two hours before going to bed helped me to wind down my day, and I could actually feel ready to fall asleep in that time. Without them, I tend to stay up too late and find it hard to get to sleep. The lenses each come in light but sturdy protective containers to fit securely and snap closed. Both drop into soft bags to hang on nearby walls in office and bedroom. However, I keep my computer clip-on in place, ready to go. What a difference in taking best care of my eyes as I head into macular degeneration and need to take even better care of my eye health! Great value - only wish I had started using them years ago. I can wear indoors and see perfectly. When using the computer I notice a definite difference. I wear them all day until bedtime. Ordered this set for myself. Have already ordered a second pair for me and a first pair for my hubby. He is having cataract problems. I can tell the minute I put these on that I feel so much comfort than without them. They have made a big difference for me. I have to run my computer day and night with the night light settings turned on and a dimmer screen on top of that. Otherwise, I am squinting and burning and eyes watering up a lot. These clip-ons have change my life for me. I love them. Next I am buying myself 2 more spare pairs and another spare pair for hubby. Eyes quit burning and watering all the time. I do not look at any computer screen, telephone screen, or TV screen without these glasses clipped on to my glasses. They are well made and easy and safe to clip on. Wide enough to cover my large glasses and my hubby's large glasses. Good price and they work great. They cover the max of rays from our viewing screens these days. I will purchase again and again.

For others like myself who refuse to follow the medical recommendation to turn off the TV [or phone] an hour or more before bedtime, these are game changers. I want to watch TV using my prescription lenses, so I specifically wanted a lightweight clip-on solution. The spring-loaded clipping mechanism works fine and should fit over lenses approaching 1/4 inch thick. It's too soon to know, but I hope it will continue to work through many on-off cycles in the coming months and years. Note that these do not 'flip up', which I perceive to be a positive. I didn't want to pay more for that feature; I don't want extra parts adding weight and being something else to break; and intermittently seeing blue at night seems to me to defeat the whole purpose. I just watched a video by a scientist who claims that blue-blocking lenses need not wrap around the side of your eyes. Blue rays in your peripheral vision are an almost insignificant part of the nighttime problem. He alleges most of the receptors of interest are located in or near the retina. I conclude the clip-on solution is sufficiently effective for my purposes. These lenses appear to be made from the amber-colored material. I see no evidence that these are clear lenses with a cheap colored coating as I've heard is the case for other similar products. It's too soon to tell if these have any scratch-resistance, and I probably wouldn't have wanted to pay extra for such a feature, but I intend to handle them carefully and then faithfully store them in the nice case they arrived in. Somebody somewhere is going to complain that blue-blocking makes things "look weird". So does taking Sildenafil where everything looks blue. So does scuba diving where the reds become undetectable. It's not a matter of clarity - the lenses seem flawless - it's what the world looks like without [the majority of] blue color. The benefits are worth the effort to adapt to things looking this way for an hour or so at the end of each day. I didn't want to invest a bunch of time right now researching the science behind this - I just wanted to block a huge part of the blue light spectrum and see if I could improve what my sport watch has been telling me is 'poor' sleep. The results from the first night were promising, but I knew it was entirely possible that other factors could be responsible. Several weeks' sleep reinforced the first night's findings - these lenses definitely improve what my watch detects for sleep quality, and there's no question that I fall asleep almost immediately now. This is a well-made product that performs exactly as needed, purchased hassle-free, and delivered promptly. I think the value of improved sleep for this price is exceptional. I would highly recommend Spectra479 lenses in any form factor from Zendustries.

These clip-ons appear to be very effective in blue light blocking. I've only used a few nights but I do believe it is already helping with my sleep patterns. I've only really used the nighttime so far about 2 hours before bedtime and I seem to be waking up less during the night and getting into a deeper sleep. I tried the daytime lenses and they are pleasant to wear and do not affect your ability to see clearly. Time will tell if this is a long term solution; I had suspected my exposure to electronics all night started to affect my sleep negatively. These clip-ons (both day and night versions) are pretty well constructed and high quality and would fit a variety of glasses but not all. The shape and size luckily fits my own glasses pretty well. I can't give a 5th star yet as I'm not sure this will be a long term solution; the other factor that keeps it from a 5 rating is they probably would not fit all glasses and the clips although sturdy are a little thick and my nose is essentially resting on them so it's slightly less comfortable than it could be. I suppose they would be 5 and perfect with glasses that accommodate this feature. The clip-ons are well packaged and with protective cases and cloth bag to keep them safe.

I love these Spectra479 Clip-On Blue Light Blocking Lenses. I recently had cataract surgery, and my doctor emphasized how important blue light protection is during recovery, especially with screen use. These clip on securely to my glasses and don’t shift around, which makes them easy to wear all day while working. I’ve already noticed a difference — less eye fatigue, less dryness, and I don’t feel as exhausted at the end of my workday. That alone makes them worth it for me. They’re comfortable enough that I plan to keep using them even after I’m fully healed. The only small thing to note is lens height. My glasses are on the larger side, and these lenses are slightly shorter, so I can’t see as clearly if I look sharply downward. For normal day-to-day use, though, it hasn’t really been an issue. Overall, these have been a great addition and really helpful for reducing screen-related eye strain.

I have been developing vision problems and it's been worrying and distressing me very much the past 6 months. I finally got a clue it could be damage from blue light. (Too many years of daily work on laptops, no blue-light screening.) I've been avoiding looking at my screen a few days, feeling I'm really at a crossroads with my vision, and waiting for this product. I put them on immediately standing in the Post Office. It was a very gray, overcast day outside in the north. Not a bit of sun. The days when it's HARDEST for my eyes to see clearly. Soon as I stepped outdoors my vision was amazingly better. Things seemed brighter. I could make out so much more. There was a sort of orange-yellow glow everywhere, like at sunset time. It was so strange, because I took them off to compare and it was suddenly murky-dark out there again. Quite a miracle. Blue light must be everywhere, because filtering it, even headlights of cars look yellow or green. I wondered how it would be on my computer, where my eyes have been struggling so much lately even with lots of Vitamin A and foods good for the eyes. I found I could read everything easier and better, and it was not necessary to increase the brightness of my screen. I am so grateful to these people. The box it came in gives helpful information about the problem of blue light, and the glasses, things I didn't know. Another thing: With these on my eyes feel immediately more relaxed, whether inside or outside. I had no idea the strain my eyes were always under. The glasses (clip-ons) are described as a method of improving sleep. I will be looking forward to that. But right now the way they simply improve vision and make it possible to keep working on my computer (without going blind) and maintaining my livilihood -- is is a plenty big boon. The way I feel right now, these simple clip-ons are saving my bacon and my whole life.

I love the tint on these "nighttime" lenses. They are perfect sunglasses for any bright conditions. And they have no polarization which is strangely hard to find. Unfortunately I can see the clip in my line of vision so I need to return them. Also to the manufacturer: maybe you have the use case of these tints reversed? Yellow tint is better for off-setting blue light from screens. Orange tint provides the best sun shield and the best visibility for bright outdoor daylight.

They arrived today, the packaging was awesome, very upscale, durable. I've been wearing them since about 6 this evening, so far my eyes are not stinging, they don't feel sticky and tired. I've been staring at computer screens for the last 6 hours non stop, by now I usually am rubbing my eyes a lot. I don't know how this is going to effect me long term, if I can remember Ill come give an updated review in a couple of weeks. On first try though I am very impressed with them. Oh and how's this for cool...in the package was a hand written sticky note from the manufacturer, I am so happy about this purchase, Ill likely be purchasing the day time ones as well. Im really interested to see how these do while Im driving, if they can help tone down those brighter than need be headlights people keep blindin me with! Heres the update: Its been nearly 10 days since I started wearing them, no gritty eye, they don't even feel tired, my body is tired from the whole being awake at night thing but not my eyes. I don't feel like there are 10k needles poking my eyelids when I blink, no headache, I think less overall tension in my eye/head area. Im not squinting to try and keep my eyes from being flooded by all the brightness. I work nights and I have to stare at computer screens a lot but there is no bloodshot or even irritation going on. So yes, still a winner, matter of fact I think I just talked a co worker into buying some. Thank God for talented people who make good products we the people can use!

Hola amigos, quiero reseñar acerca de estos lentes....Yo presentaba mucha irritacion en los ojos , siempre estaban secos, con vision borrosa, afectacion en la agudeza visual con varias dioptrias, y con molestia en general que la atribuia sencillamente a un estado precario de salud ocular.......usaba otros lentes de otro fabricante que supuestamente detenian la emsion de luz dañina, asi lo creia yo pero...... !! SORPRESA !! Empiezo a usar siempre estas gafas milagrosas al estar en la computadora y al ver mi celular y en cuestion de UNA SEMANA mis ojos se sienten mucho menos irritados, la resequedad se fue por completo, ya no tengo vision borrosa y ademas veo con mas agudeza.......TODOS MIS PROBLEMAS LOS OCASIONABA LA MALDITA PANTALLA DE LA COMPUTADORA Y DEL CELULAR !!!!!! RECOMIENDO UN MILLON DE VECES A TODO MUNDO QUE USE ESTAS MARAVILLOSAS GAFAS SI TIENE LOS MISMOS PROBLEMAS QUE MENCIONO, SON FANTASTICAS Y ESTOY MUY FELIZ DE HABERLOS COMPRADO

パソコン使用時間が長いので目の疲れが軽減されて助かります。少し黄色がかっているけど使ってると気にはなりません

The lens quality is good, they do not cause distortion compared to other ones I tried before. They don't flip up and down, but that doesn't matter to me, I actually prefer that because the clip-on is lighter and less bulky than those that flip up and down. I like them so much that I bought 4 pairs of their glasses to give to my kids and grand kids.

They're perfect...

I work a desk job that requires me to stare at excel sheets and documents for hours with multiple screens, the clip on lenses have been a game changer for me, be it at work or at home. Blue light toxicity is a real thing in our digital age where all eyes appear glued to screens be it toddlers or seniors . . overall i am satisfied with the product and highly recommend it for others as well. I have personally used clear lense "blue light blockers" but after using these lenses from spectra, i know this is the real deal.
