should have bought one of these a long time ago.
Great value for the money. Practice a little with medium or large mandrels. The instructions are not very good. You have to adjust the nose of the tool in or out depending on the size of rivnut you are using. It is easy to break or bend the small mandrels if you don't know what you are doing.

Great for airplane owners and mechanics
Almost all of the screws on general aviation aircraft are size 8-32. Fortunately, this tool has an 8-32 mandrel, making it very useful for airplane owners. I have used it three times so far and am very pleased with it.

OK, after you make your own mandrels.
Used this to install about 30 stainless steel rivitnuts into some sheet metal. Mandrel broke on first attempt. Tried another and it broke also. Fortunately was able to remove the threaded studs from the nuts without disturbing the project. I then turned a couple of mandrels from some O1 tool steel and had no other problems. It seems the mandrels are not heat treated properly and shatter very easily. Still the handle is cleverly designed and works well. I imagine this works well with the larger mandrels where the brittle mandrels would not show their frailness so easily.

Must have tool for DIYers. So much easier than drilling and tapping, or using bolts and nuts.

Not a strong tool broke 2nd time using it.
