HearthSong Mega Bubble Making Kit for Colossal Stand-Inside Bubbles, with Bubble Ring, Bubble Pool, and Bubble Solution

We bought two sets of this Giant Mega Bubble Wand Kit with Bubble Tray set for a school science night. We made up the first lot of bubble mixture according to the instructions and it did not work - we couldn't get any size of bubble - the film burst when the wand ring was lifted even a couple of inches out of the bubble tray. We wondered if this was because we have somewhat hard water, so we tried with DI water with the second set. No better. This was a complete waste of money and a great disappointment for the children. I wish I could get our money back! The recommended 'home made' recipe was very similar to those that you see online - dish soap and glycerine. This works fine for smaller bubble wands - not for the bubble tray and large wand in this set. Don't buy this product!

Didn’t like the handle

This is the worst gift we have ever given our granddaughter. She saw it in a catalogue and said she really wanted it. The hoop kept breaking, and the liquid bubble mix never made bubbles. After her mother and she started using a different loop and made their own bubble mixture, it worked beautifully. Kinda defeats the purpose, though, doesn’t it?

I normally LOVE Heartsong products. They make quality items, but this is a piece of junk! The wand constantly broke and we couldn't even get it to produce one bubble without breaking. And we used the solution provided. This caused so much frustration. This was a gift and I can't believe Grandma paid $54. What a complete rip-off! There were no reviews on this product when I placed it on my wishlist. Now I can see that others had problems, too. Don't buy.UPDATE: My husband fiddled around with the wand and got it to work better. There are no instructions, so you just have to guess. The wand still comes apart about every 5 minutes, but we were able to get some decent bubbles out of it. I upgraded my review to 2 stars. This set is worth about $15, in my opinion, so it is way overpriced at $50.

This product was a disappointment, especially for over $50. It is really difficult to get the ring past the soaking tray's inflated sides, let alone to keep the bubble more than 4-5 inches. There are no printed instructions in the box, so the kids assume this is just like any other bubble product (they didn't follow the mixing instructions). Even with a properly-mixed solution, it's just hard to get working. Perhaps using it indoors would yield better results (level ground, no wind), but outdoors it just doesn't work well,.

Doesn't work. Not even close to making a single Bubble. Cheap materials and just flat a waste of money. DO NOT BUY
