it is "half-moon" to accept a "D" shaft off the thermostat.

Q: Will these work on Cadet wall haeters?

Yes it will work. I had a Cadet wall heater too. and that Is what I used.

Q: The shaft is described as half-moon but what is the diameter of this shaft? Is it 1/4"? Are there adjusting bushings included for other shaft sizes?

Mine measures 1/4” across the flat part of the half moon.
