OGX Smoothing + Liquid Pearl Luminescent Serum, 3.8 Ounce

I love this product. I see complaints about how it’s not glittery enough on one’s hair, but I like that it doesn’t make me look like a disco ball stripper, I also love the smell. It gives my hair just enough texture and a little bit of but doesn’t weigh it down, and helps smooth out some of my frizzle. I wish that they still made this so I didn’t have to pay 3 times as much for it when I do find it.

The smell to start is great it has a subtle soft smell, I love the glitter. You don’t really see the glitter when you apply it so if your getting it for that reason this isn’t the product for you. My cons are that it doesn’t really add anything to your hair. My hair didn’t feel smoother or less frizzy than before. The texture is thick and yet watery. Super odd texture.

Look at that shine!!! I used to use 6 different products in my hair for frizz and taming these luscious locks but no more.... this stuff helps in all ways and has such a beautiful glow and in the sunlite? Forget about it. This Jersey Girl is one happy moma!! This is with the poor air quality as of lately.... which is nothing compared to the poor people who are dealing with these fires. I'm SO SORRY this is happening and I wish all of you the best and pray everyday for all you who lost your homes and are dealing with the terrible fires and smoke in Canada and in California.... I'm dreadfully sorry. 😪😢

When ordering this product, I expected a serum consistency, but it was more of a gel texture when dispensed from the bottle. My hair is a thin straight type but with a full scalp of hair and typically absorbent to most products out there, this OGX product felt as if it just sat on my hair with that odd gel texture left over (1 pump for all my hair) with random glitter dispersed unevenly on my strands.I only use four products before blow drying my hair (detangler, leave-on treatment, volumizer spray, and an oil serum for styling and heat protection), and my hair is perfectly smooth after a good drying session. Unfortunately, adding this product to my routine has lost volume (gel is too heavy on hair despite blessing the amount) and somehow made my flyaways at peak attention after blow dying + a second round of a drop of oil serum. Overall, I didn't feel there were any benefits to using this product (ex. softening, shine, smoothing, etc), it's just an extra step to your hair routine for a below-par result.
