I love how the words are not only shown in both languages, but the pronunciation help is fabulous! If you are trying to learn the basics, this is a big help!

I have studied Pilipino before and would saY HONESTLY THATTHIS BOOK IS MARGINAL BECAUSE IT USES SEMANTIC AND GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES THAT DO NOT INCORPORATE THE TRUE ESSENCE OF THE TAGALOG USED IN THE PHILIPPINES AS I LEARNED AND USED WHEN I LIVED IN MANILA. In any case, it is a marginal usage of Tagalog and I would not buy this book if I were serious about learning Tagalog for anything other than getting in and out of manila International Airport....if that...if at all.

Even covers the 'pickup' whether you are a guy or a girland the closing questions! ;o) Not that i had that in mindto buy this book.

This is an excellent phrase book to use for travelers and anyone interested in learning this interesting language. It has very good phonetic spellings and easy-to-read layouts of pages.I highly recommend this book as a must-have companion to additional study materials.

Nice simple book for learning a few words of tagalog. Not intense nor in-depth, but good for learning pronunciations and learning a few phrases and words. I was troubled by the repetition of some phrases in the book.

Printed on rough paper. And it remove a bit of the feel. But content is OK, and covers many areas of Tagalog.Good for a beginner, but not a stand alone book

A great little easy to read book if you want to understand the basics when seeking advice. I want to learn responses to questions being asked of me and this does not really help. I would recommend you buy this book however it's learnt me basic words and I now want to go a step further and learn to respond with a few sentances.

very good. i am too lazy sometimes, but this is good bite size chunks to help melearn.
