Operation
I found that for my unit, the little switch does not control the power output but only the internal muffing fan. With the switch in the "off" position I had adjustable voltage output and good control over my soldering iron and heat gun. I also found that the metal case had an elevated voltage of over 10 volts so I grounded the case which took care of the problem (but there is obviously still a design or manufacturing issue). I then plugged the unit into a socket that provided GFI protection and the breaker did not trip (good!). I suggested that anyone using the unit take the effort to ground the case. As sold I do not believe this unit meets UL standards.I find it interesting that in a Q/A response it is stated the outside terminals are for the hot connections and the inside terminals for the neutral. I don't find that pointed out anywhere else.

Bench Tester’s Valuable Tool.
I like that it has a fan and a on/off switch. For added safety I installed a light switch to be used as a emergency shutoff switch since the unit’s on/off switch is very small.

Did not work... twice.
I ordered this and the voltage would not change. I exchanged it for another and it didn't change either. 120 going in... 120 coming out with no change when turning the pot. Going to try another seller.
