Being a complete novice to Geology what I wanted was an easy to use reference book, that wasn't overly confusing, and small enough to carry as a companion out on the walks. And this book ticks all of those boxes. It has been amazing how easy I can identify the rocks and minerals along our waks, bringing a lot more pleasure during the day. Absolutely recommended and well worth the price.

As expected.

No book i have ever read has been this thoroughly enjoyable, i read it all the first night i got it. Before i started looking for my own, it also told me what equipment i need in the feild, and what i need to clean and organise them back at home. A real time saver, and money saver, sinse not many books contain all this information in one.And it also goes just as well into minerals, than rocks, all with the same helpful information.
