It functions as good as new.
First of all, the dual band capability of this router is fantastic. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, which ensures a reliable and fast internet connection throughout my home. I have noticed a significant improvement in the overall speed and stability of my WiFi network since I started using this router. The parental control and Quality of Service (QoS) features are also excellent additions. With the parental control feature, I can easily manage and restrict internet access for specific devices or set up scheduled access for certain users, providing a safe online environment for my family. The QoS feature allows me to prioritize certain applications or devices, ensuring a seamless experience for bandwidth-intensive activities such as streaming or gaming.Setting up the router was a breeze thanks to the user-friendly interface and clear instructions provided. The router also works seamlessly with Alexa, allowing me to control certain functions using voice commands, which is a convenient feature.Although this router is a renewed product, it functions as good as new. I haven't experienced any issues with its performance or reliability.

Awesome With DD-WRT Firmware
This is one of the better relatively inexpensive modern WiFi routers to use with third party open source firmware like DD-WRT. It's relatively easy to replace the firmware (at least on the revision I purchased but check to see if TP-Link has made changes that might be a problem). In general TP-Link seems to be more third party firmware friendly than most router manufactures.Running DD-WRT it's fast, stable, barely gets lukewarm (uses very little power), the triple external antennas provide good WiFi range and supports all the cool features you get with DD-WRT like the ability to run a full time VPN at the the router. You also get a 4 port ethernet switch.Obviously you'll want to spend more if you have a good reason for WiFi 6 speeds. But, in many applications, the internet speed is going to be the bottleneck especially running through a VPN.

Very stable, however signal strength going through walls not so great
Decent unit and stable. However, the signal does not go too far, especially if you have a few walls in the way.

Good Router For General Home Purposes
Features:- 2.4 or 5 GHz wifi- Can be controlled with companion phone application- Easy to interact with via phone app- Easy to set up and close guest wifi- Can see all devices connected itI bought this because I did not want to lease a router from the wifi company. Works with Xfinity wifi. I have around 8 devices constantly connected and I haven't had any issues. It reaches to the second floor of my home and a little bit into the yard, that being said my home is not very large maybe around 1500 sq.ft.It fulfills its purpose well and I like the companion app, when I have friends or guests over I can just turn on the guest wifi which does not allow access to the other devices connected to the main wifi. Then when all the guests are gone, I turn the guest wifi off. I would recommend this 5 out 5 stars.

Works great!
Router works great! So much better than the one the Internet company rents to you. I have better wifi speeds and I'm saving $5 a month, so it's a total win!

Plug and Play
This was an easy install. I didn't need to log into it to set up security - it was already set up.DHCP was already on as well. All the devices that connected got an internal IP Address assigned to them from the router. No static IP addressing was required.I plugged the Cable Modem Ethernet into the router's WAN (blue) connector, and my computers into the router's LAN (yellow) connectors, and my wired network was done.I used the SSID and Password found on the bottom of the router to successfully connect all my WiFi devices. There was a QR Code that helped the users to connect their phones. Not sure that would work if I changed the default SSID and password, but it did fine with the default.I didn't rate Tech Support or the User Interface, because I didn't need either to set this up.I would recommend this router for ease of use, price and quality.

Average TP Link Router
It has good signal strength, it does reboot randomly and the start up time is a bit too high.

Works great on the Verizon Fios network!
This modem works great on the Verizon Fios network.I just plugged it in, and called Verizon tech support to send a signal to the modem, and it just started working immediately. I am not sure if I even had to call Verizon tech support at all, because this modem almost seemed like it was Plug & Play. And this modem seems like it's actually faster than the modem that I was renting from Verizon. The modem is also pretty small and light, compared to the heavy Xbox sized modems that I was gettiing from my ISP.The modem's settings and graphical user interface is also very well laid out and responsive, and there are a ton of settings that you can play around with in there.Updating the firmware was also super easy. You just click on the update button in the settings and that's it. But once you update, all of your settings will be reset to factory settings, so you will want to update before you finish setting up your wi-fi network and everything.
