Candles 100 Pack Sentinel Range 8 Hour Tea Lights Unscented Long Burning Tealight Candles for Home Catering Events Relaxation and Everyday Use

These are such good quality tea lights, I've been using supermarket tea lights for ages and they ran out at my local store, so I thought I'd try these. They are great; they actually burn for the full 8hrs if not longer, no need to trim the wicks either as they are already short enough and give an even burn. I'm a convert and will keep buying these!

I bought the 100-pack of Price’s Candles Sentinel 8-hour tealights for everyday use and I’m impressed. They’re genuinely longer burning than standard tealights — mine usually last around 7–8 hours — which makes them ideal for dinners, events or just setting a cosy atmosphere without constantly swapping candles.The pack is good value and most candles arrived in perfect condition. A couple had loose wax in the bag, but nothing major. They’re unscented, which I prefer when I just want light, but if you’re after a strong fragrance these aren’t it.Overall, these tealights do exactly what they promise: steady, long burn times at a sensible price. I’d buy them again.

I was hopeful about these 8 hour tea lights, until I put one up against a standard 4 hour tea light.4 hour tea light size: dia 4cm, height 1.6cm8 hour tea light size: dia 4cm, height 2.2cmThis is strange, how can an 8 hour tea light that is only 37% larger than a 4 hour tea light possibly burn for 8 hours?I lit a 4 hour and an 8 hour tea light in a ceramic dish so they were approx 1 inch apart from each other.I noticed immediately the 8 hour tea light burnt with a smaller flame and thus a cooler flame.I took two more tea light and measured the cross sectional size of the wicks. The 8 hour tea light wick was 40% smaller than the 4 hour tea light wick. Therefor the 8 hour tea light doesn't burn as bright or as hot, thus burning for longer, i.e. 8 hours. To burn as brightly and as hot as a 4 hour tea light, it would need a 40% thicker wick, and be 3.2cm in height to burn for 8 hours.Only 3 stars from me. I'll stick with the standard 4 hour tea light going forward.Edit:The 4 hour tea light burnt out after 3 hours and 53 minutes - 7 minutes short of it's 4 hour minimum target. Poor.The 8 hour tea light burnt out after 7 hours and 27 minutes - 33 mins short of it's 8 hour minimum target. Atrocious.See the attached pictures as evidence of the 8 hour tea light small flame. The first picture taken 5 minutes after ignition, the second taken after 1 hour.
