Nice, but buy your own zip ties.
At $15.99, I knew I was paying a lot for a piece of plastic. It’s a very nice piece of plastic. But considering your hefty profit margin, could you guys at least throw in the zip ties? That was disappointing.

It's reversible, for what it's worth
I bought the black/orange version because I had been intending to use orange as the accent color on my new Santa Cruz Chameleon, which is equipped with a Fox Rhythm 34 fork. My wife, the resident fashion expert, had different thoughts. She thought I should go with all black, and then suggested that I just turn the mud-flap upside down when I installed it. That worked perfectly since there really is no top or bottom side of the device, it's just that there's only color on one side. So if you want black, you've got black.I've not had a chance to try it out in the mud yet, but it's been raining for days, so I'll update soon enough. I can say that installing it was pretty simple, provided you are able to supply your own zip ties since the package comes with none.Update July 10th, 2019: I've uploaded a photo from after a somewhat muddy ride. You can see in the photo that, while the mudgard did pick up a decent amount of mud, it didn't really prevent much mud from hitting the frame. The head tube and fork have been spared, but little else. My face still caught a decent amount of mud as well, since it really isn't protected by the mudguard unless you are positioned a decent amount forward over the bars. It's better than nothing, though, and it looks good. I'm still happy, but I think a bit more length or more of a curve that follows the wheel would have been a lot more effective.

It works on rear of a Stumpjumper & probably others
This is a lot thicker than I anticipated, which is a good thing! I also wondered if it would work on my rear tire to protect the suspension linkage. It probably depends on which bike you have. It works great on my 2019 Specialized Stumpjumper. I placed it with the smaller end facing the ground and punched two additional holes to zip tie it near the bottom bracket. This will keep rocks and debris from getting into the lower frame pivot point of the linkage. I recommend buying one for the front forks and seeing if it fits the rear. If it does fit, then order another for the front. If it doesn't fit, then just apply it to the front. It is also important to realize that the main purpose of these mud guards is to protect the bike frame, the suspension components, and linkage. It might reduce some mud that would get on you, but I could only expect about a 10% reduction. If you're a mountain biker that's concerned with getting muddy, you may want to re-evaluate your life.

Pricey. No zip ties. Good style.
These are pricey for what they are. A cut piece of kydex with no zip ties to install them. They really should include zip ties for the price. Haven't had a chance to test. Fit a 26" fat bike. Hopefully they work.Update: they are just big enough to keep mud out of your face, but mostly useless on the rear. I used the extras to zip tie around electronics on the e-bikes.

Looks great and well made.
All "mud guards" should be labeled "stanchion guards"! I have a Fox 34 factory step cast front suspension. That's nearly $1000.00 retail price and cleaning/upkeep can cost more if you don't keep it clean after a muddy ride. This isn't a MUD guard for YOU. I'm rolling with 29 inch tires and if it's muddy, your going to get (bike too) muddy no matter what. It's more important to keep your stanchions relatively clean DURING your ride in rainy, muddy weather. It will save your seals AND your expensive forks from deteriorating too soon. If your worried about your eyes, get a good pair of glasses or goggles. Buying a mud guard to protect your eyes/clothing is ridiculous. This product works as advertised and looks great. The skull IMO, looks sharp and is the best choice as it has the best contrast. See my pics. Installation took two mins but you must supply four zip ties. Not a deal breaker for me.

Pricey, but worth it.
Compared to other similar fenders of other brands, the AMS is significantly thicker and more robust. It's a very solid product. The extra coverage to protect your fork stanchions is the reason I bought this. I've noticed a lot less dust and debris accumulating on the dark side of my fork stanchions compared to my old fenders that have less coverage. I didn't get this for protection my face from mud and debris, but to protect my fork stanchions from rock chips and the like. And in that regard, it does incredibly well. The designs also look pretty cool and adds a bit of flair to my bikes. I especially like the reflective versions.

Does the job with little bonuses
Does what it's supposed to do, block stuff from smacking me in the face. Didn't know this when ordering, but the package ( if that's what you want to call it) had instructions for install right on it. That was an awesome addition, I mean it is a simple product but that extra care was nice. The picture on the guard haven't worn off or anythjng, we will see how it holds up as I put it under more pressure

Why is "sheerness" a rating for this?
I would agree with all who have complained about the price and not including zip ties. Ugh. Luckily I have them around. Maybe they are included and someone is snagging them?Overall, it seems to do what it is supposed to so I can only rate 4/5 on durability so far. Not sure about rating "sheerness" as asked by the Amazon review algorithm. I purchased the "Ronin" version which looks cool on the bike but the Ronin word is completely covered up. Just saying. Maybe that's the mystery.I'll update if my rating of Sheerness changes:)

Looks good... doesn't keep mud out of your face so well
Looks great, reasonably straightforward to fit, although fold lines might help... downsides being no zip strips applied so mines on with white ones for now... but worst of all... I'm still getting mud flicked up into my face...... not great

Bit Mickey mouse
Didn't realise quite how small and ineffective this would be, graphics are tidy but the actual design makes this kind of pointless. It'll probably keep the mud out of my eyes when I'm leaning forward over the bars and literally nothing else.Oh and the lack of cable ties is just shocking at this price. Very disappointed

Rip off
This has just arrived and I'm pretty disappointed. Firstly I was expecting the order to include locking strips, but it doesn't. Secondly the item itself looks like it's worth no more than £5. Over £12 for this is a rip off frankly. I can already tell that it will be too short to provide decent splatter cover from the front wheel. Regretting the purchase already. Poor.

Looks the part, great quality, nice price!
Love it!Looks the nuts on my bike and performs as expected. Shame it does not prevent me from eating dirt when I send myself over the bars! However, does a great job of stopping stones and dirt coming off the wheel - like it's supposed to!Great price and comes in cheaper than many alternatives. Easy to fit with nice instruction if you really need. All round great product and will be back for more in future.

Looks great, nice design
Looks awesome, easy to fit and plastic is thicker than most guards but yet still flexible which is great. Didnt come with cable ties, not the end of the world but would have been a nice touch and handy for those who dont have any at hand.
