Punch Down Tool, Wire Stripping Tool Cable Stripper Cutter Wire Stripping Tool for Flat or Round UTP Cat5 Cat6 Coax Coaxial Wire Stripper (Yellow)

Bought these tools as I need to lay in some cat6 networking cable, including wiring into a wall-mounted RJ45 socket I was fitting too. Using these tool definitely made it much easier than trying to fumble along with a knife and small screwdriver. Cutting and trimming the cable was easy to do (including scoring the outer sheath to remove it without damaging the smaller wires within it). This is the first time I've used a punch down tool like this too - in the past, I've tried trimming down the individual cables to the right length, and then used a tiny screwdriver to push the wires into the back of the socket... I'll now never do that ever again! Buy and use the punch down tool instead, as you simply push down on the wire until it clicks, which means the cable is securely in place, and it clips / trims the wire to the right length at the same time! Highly recommended!

Tool stopped working after a small number of punch downs. A small screw fell out. Obviously poorly assembled. The tool looks fine and worked perfectly until the screw fell out.

Really just wanted the punch down tool. The cable stripper that comes with it wasn't up to much and I abandoned it after severing the cable on the first try and used my decent pair like I should have in the first place 😀 The punch down is much of a muchness, it does the job like it's supposed to which is all I can ask.

I had to terminate some Cat 6 cabling in my house I had been putting off for years, found the wire stripping tool excellent help for this and very easy to use. Trial it out on the wire you are trying to strip to get the width correct and to ensure it just strips what you want without damaging the inner wiring. Then that setting is good for the rest of the job.I then discovered the wiring at the other end of my cat 6 Cables into the wall sockets was atrocious and had to rewire all of the cat 6 rj45 type plugs. I found the push down tool made this much easier than it would have been. The fact it snips the wire at same time as pushing it into place is excellent. It is fiddly work, but the tool certainly helps.I have NEVER done anything like this before and YouTube videos helped enormously and tipped me off about the necessity of these tools. I can’t imagine how the job could have been done without them.

This tool came with a better quality wire preparation tool than some of the others . It took a couple of attempts to get the hang of it , you have to press down hard and make sure the wire seats properly in the bottom of the connector . I don't intend doing many of these so longevity of the tool won't be an issue .

There's a small nut & bolt that work the cable end trimming blades & the nut and bolt fell out. If you do it up tight, the cutters don't cut. So these need to be checked on a fairly regular basis, or thread seal applied to them to stop the bolt undoing.

J'ai câblé une baie RJ45 facilement avec l'outil d'insertion des fils. Il permet également de déconnecter des fils raccorder. C'est un bon outil.

La ponchadora se la ve endeble, de momento la he usado una vez y casi da miedo apretar con ella por lo dura que va a causa del material de que esta hecha, pero para el precio que tiene y un uso esporádico cumple con su cometido. No aconsejable para uso profesional y un uso diario.El pelacables no esta nada mal, material resistente para la herramienta que es. corta bien, facilita el pelado de cables por el ajuste de grosor que tiene e incluso me ha venido bien para pelar un cable coaxial.

Efficaci e a buon prezzo. Niente di professionale ma perfetto per un utilizzo hobbistico, nel quale risultano comunque strumenti utili e meritevoli di acquisto.

Ho usato per lo più il Punch Down (due volte) e devo dire che fa il suo dovere. Bisogna ripassare un paio di volte per ogni contatto però non mi posso lamentare. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consigliato
