SauderMiscellaneous Storage 3-Shelf Bookcase/ Book shelf, Jamocha Wood finish

This is a great bookshelf given the price. My boyfriend and I needed a bookshelf to hold our fast-accumulating law school textbooks, but wanted something formal that would compliment the living room and add some flair to an empty wall. We picked the Jamocha Wood finish and it looks lovely with all of the other dark wood furniture in the apartment. The adjustable shelves are great and it holds all of the heavy textbooks with ease.Construction is pretty easy, however it is very helpful to have a second person assist in holding the pieces into place while screwing in the stabilizers on the bottom.

I bought several of these on Prime Day. They went together pretty easily and are actually pretty nice for the money. I paid around $85 on Prime Day and bought 6. All of them were in good condition. They are obviously not top quality but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Very easy to assemble, until you get to the baseboard at the bottom. Once you attach the brackets to the bookcase, you have to stand on your head to attach the baseboard, since the brackets/screws are impossible to get to or see. Advice: attach the brackets to the baseboard FIRST. I was able to get it done, but what a pain. Otherwise, it was a breeze to assemble. Great looking bookcase - worth the money. Happy with my purchase.

I'm super happy with how these turned out! The instructions are clear and concise, the product of good quality and look great when done. My advice is to have a rubber mallet handy in order to tap everything into place at the end. This ensures it's all level and square. Very reasonable price too so making a decorated space is accessible for many.

Bought on Prime day for our basement and was impressed by the sturdiness of the book shelf.

It is a very sturdy and Hi Quality looking. I am using 2 as show cases for my stuff. And a few books.

This is the second time I've ordered this particular bookshelf. It's a great value, holds all my books, and is really easy to put together. My only issue this time around was the delivery. Whoever it was just laid the *very* heavy package flat, right across my front porch where I nearly stepped on it when I got home from work. Shoddy and lazy work.

When finished, this bookcase is reasonable and looks pretty good. My problem was in the assembly.First, the concept of cam and dowel attachment has been used for years and I have put together several pieces from other manufacturers without difficulty. Sauder has their own spin on this by placing a plastic sheath on the dowel, such that it expands when tightened and better secures the joint. Very good in theory, however, the milling of the holes is not always precise enough to fit the dowel in all cases. As a result, the dowel cannot always be made to fit into its designated hole after it has been inserted into the cam. This pushed the plastic sheath out of place and made insertion impossible. I followed the directions and did not tighten the cam, but still the dowels would not always fit. My solution, which you can consider, was to place the dowel into its hole first, then fit the dowel into the cam that had already been inserted into the matching wood section. That worked perfectly, but two persons would have made it easier. Next, following the directions and order for completion, was somewhat awkward, forcing me into some uncomfortable positions. So, again, playing a little loose with the instructions was necessary. Then, two areas where the wood joined together did not precisely fit, leaving two slivers of unfinished wood exposed. I used a little furniture wax and was able to cover this up. Finally, the major portions of this case are not solid wood, as at least one reviewer had stated, but rather are made of particle board. The bases of the book case are open particle board and, if you care about your hardwood floor, or carpet, you will need to buy some rubber/felt furniture pads to stick on the bases. You would think that for the 59¢ that 4 pieces of rubber/felt would have cost the manufacturer, they could have thought to include such a necessary component. At the end of the day, this bookcase looks pretty good and functions well. The assembly was a pain and could have been made easier with some discussions between engineering, milling and end user.

I ordered the cabinet for my husband for Christmas to organize his bounty by his chair. We are both thrilled with the cabinet & knew we would be with the Sauder brand! So pleased I ordered one to organize “stuff” beside my chair!

This is good quality product and would recommend it except that the Puralator delivery was a nightmare. It is a long story but the short version....got no notice as to when it would be delivered. I just happened to be there and the driver just dropped it on the porch and didn't want a signature and won't help me lift it 6 inches over the sill to get it into the house unless I wanted to ask nice. I struggled by myself and had bruises on my arms and scrapes on my hands....never again will I order anything big off of Amazon

Bought two of these at once in black, the instruction for assembly were a bit vague, but ok. Built the second one in 15 minutes, not a lot of pieces. They were exactly as shown and the measurements were exact.

Love my shelf! Have received many compliments.When I received it there was one piece damaged....contacted Sauder as instructed in assembly manual. Within minutes I was informed the damaged part is being shipped to me free of charge. Excellent customer service.
