Solid Item...For The Price!!
I don't normally write reviews, but since I read SO many negative reviews, I felt it necessary to play devil's advocate. To sum up the replacement earcups, do they work...yes. Are they comfortable...pretty much. Are they the quality of OEM Bose earcups...no. That being said, I inquired about the replacement earcups from Bose, and they wanted $45 plus tax. I am not mathematician, but that is more than three times the price of the ones I purchased on Amazon. If you are going to pay 75% less than what you would pay through Bose, expect the quality to not be as good. Are the earcups I purchased on Amazon terrible?? Far from it!! I couldn't be happier with the purchase considering the original ones only last a few years, and anyone that has purchased TP-1's know that they aren't a cheap headset. I am more annoyed at Bose for putting out an inferior product and then charging an arm and a leg to replace the problem. I have 20 year old Sony headsets that were slightly less money and are still in pristine condition! So, at the end of the day, shame on Bose!!Would I purchase this replacement earcup kit again...ABSOLUTELY!!

more than expected
First off, anyone that orders these expecting something other than what is in the description should be banned from making reviews about receiving what is in the description.Right after I ordered these, I received an email from the company informing me they had received my order and that they would bend over back wards to ensure they received 5 stars. I want to extend great credit to them for the line of communication they started before I even had the item in my hand to look at and try to use.The item arrived on time in a heavy duty plastic Ziploc type bag, very well protected from the other items in my box and from any unexpected environments that could have popped up on the shipping route. The bag was well marked and had printed instructions on it showing how to replace the pads. There was also a nice sticker with support information, both an email address and a phone number (800) were given in case you had questions, concerns, or complaints. There were some very handy advice lines given at the bottom including "do not use compressed air" and "do not touch fragile diaphragms" etc. Very sage advice since that is exactly in the vicinity you are going with fingers etc to do the ear piece swap.Inside the package there was a nice card with care tips for your new ear phone pads, the earphone pads, and also new diaphragm covers. I did not expect the covers but from the care tips and other information about how dirty your earphones can get it makes sense to swap them as well. The diaphragm covers are what you normally see when you look inside your ear pads and cover the "speaker" you hear.Installing was a breeze if you follow the directions. I simply pulled my old ones off and picked up all the old foam that fell all over the desk. I threw all that away. I pulled the old covers off. I peeled and stuck the new covers. I then "popped" the new foamies back into the exact same spot as the old ones, ensuring all the tabs were engaged with my finger nail. I then listened to some music. As expected, the new foamies feel a bit different. To me, in my opinion, they are fine and will work perfectly. They are not as soft as the old ones and do not "give" as much as the old ones. With the last sentence in mind, the new ones give and conform to my ears just fine and for the price I am 100% happy. The new ones also do not have foam that comes out of the cushions and tickles my ears while I'm wearing them.I give this item 5/5 stars for price and function and would recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to buy a new set of ear phones. Thank you Ron's Electronic Sales for a wonderful experience, the communication was top notch. I'll be looking for your store in the future if I need to buy something else.

Tricky to install, great pads though
These things feel awesome, and are worth every penny to refresh your Bose TriPort headphones. No, they do not feel exactly like the original headphones. They are a bit firmer, but still very comfortable. I would have given it 5 stars were it not for the difficulty I had with the adhesive pads. The felt covering each have two adhesive pieces on them covered with wax paper. I happily peeled that off only to also rip off the adhesive part along with it. I was able to put the adhesive back on to the felt, and very very carefully peel up the paper portion, leaving on the sticky section. (which is not that sticky obviously). As a suggestion to the manufacturer, you should either use a stronger adhesive against the felt, or use an adhesive applicator that has was paper that is easier to get started in pulling it off, to prevent people from pulling off the whole adhesive. As a word of caution to those buying this, be very very careful when peeling off the white paper from the adhesive.

Willing to take care of the customer means everything!!!
OK lets make this clear from the start. This order is filled by Amazon so if they (Amazon)puts the wrong thing in the box it is not Rons fault. Which is what happened with me. BUT Trever (at Rons) went out of his way to get me what I needed and was actually helpful in doing so. WHY is this a rarity? (power if the internet???)These guys get customer service (at least in my case) go to their web page look at their description/installation of the product before you buy rather than complaining after the sale.Foot note:This is not the same thing as a BOSE ear pad BUT that is not a bad thig when you consider why you are buying this in the first place. It was because the BOSE pad failed!!! SO if you want the same exact mushy pad that failed on you, go to BOSE and pay more for it, BUT remember you will probably be replacing it again.Installation: Assuming you bought the right model remember Rons did not design the headphone so if the installation of tuff for you then go to Rons web page for a video on how to install them. Yes does take a little bit of effort but it is a doable thing. AGAIN Rons did not design the headphone.BOTTOM LINE: Does the product work? YES / Is it equal to the quality of the product you are replacing? YES (actually better IMO) / Would I buy from Rons again? YES / Does this company make an honest effort to take care of their customers? YES (at least in my case)Thaks Trevor
