This One's a Keeper!
These are just first impressions, as the knife just arrived and was unboxed...Build quality appears to be top notch. Fit and finish is flawless. Wood is beautifully figured and nicely finished. Design is excellent overall, and in the small details, such as the notches machined in the handle to make blade and spike deployment easy. Both locking mechanisms seem solid and reliable. In short, this knife looks to be of heirloom quality, likely to remain functional and treasured by me for the rest of my days, and subsequently passed on to family members or friends who will appreciate its beauty and utility for many decades to come...

Quality crafted deck knife.
Impressed so far. Knife functions very well. Out of the box razor sharp. Blade and spike lock wonderfully. All in all, a top notch multi-tool for use on deck. Only wish the knife was a tad bit bigger given the money spent.

Beautiful knife
This was a gift a theater stage crew.+ Small and compact. Very Sharp.- Would like a bigger version.

The best, with one flaw.
If you are looking for a rigging knife, look no further. Meyerchin knives are simply the best value out there. The one flaw is the undersized lanyard loop. It is so small and light as to be useless.

Meyer chin sets the standard for sailing knives
The steel, the locking mechanism, the simple craftsmanship of a well-made and necessary tool. It’s all there. You can get cheaper sailing knives, but they won’t last as long. You can get more expensive ones, but they’re too nice to use out on the water. This is it.

Beautiful little knife
I wanted a sailing knife that was both practical and looked good and this fit the bill. It feels as solid as a rock when it's locked open. The blade is razor sharp, so that means you have to be a little careful when using the shackle key. Highly recommended.

Great knife, wrong one.
It's a great knife, except for the fact that I received the wood handle instead of black handle one I ordered.

Works great on old lines but not as much on new ones
