The Girl with the Brown Crayon: How Childen Use Stories to Shape Their Lives

Great book for upcoming educators to read.

An excellent book on the way an unintended author study in a Kindergarten class became an opening to know each student (and teacher) better...through crayon art, insightful conversation, dramatic play, and family storytelling comparisons! Must read for an educator!

GIFT. REQUIRED COLLEGE READING FOR DAUGHTERRLW

After reading this book twice on my Kindle, I decided to purchase a hard copy for a first grade teacher where I volunteer weekly each year. It uses familiar children's stories by author Leo Lionni, and a little five-year old girl Reeny, to tell the story of a final year of teaching. Along with that theme, we gain a vision of children learning about race, their own identity, and their place of belonging in the world.

When the package came I was so shocked. It took less then 24 hours to get here. The only problem is there wasn't a receipt in the package. But that can be very easily resolved and I am sure it was a one time thing.

Bought for a training resource

I had to read this book for class and it reminded me that as a future teacher I can never stop growing. The students may take you in a different direction but go with it!

I needed this book for one of my college classes and it was an interesting read. The stories are well-told too.

This was a required textbook for an English university class. I was happy with the speedy shipping and the quality of the product upon arrival. It's a great short read!
