Super fun game for middle schoolers. WE bought two of these for a strategy game table at our Departments STEAM Family Night. Kids really loved playing it. They are kind of pricey but top notch quality. Completely recommend buying, especially if you are a teacher.

This is a simple game for the whole family. It's easy to set up and start playing. Nice diversion from the media we all seems to focus on. It's perfect for after dinner or anytime. Doesn't have lots of pieces or rules. Small space is all you need to play. Better than checkers and easier than chess. Kinda like backgammon but simpler. We enjoy playing with the whole family. Worth the price. Last forever.

a good marble alternative . played with an 11 yr old and her strategy approach quite different and definitely made it challenging

Not challenging. My five-year-old mastered this too quickly. Heavier marbles would be better to make the “tip factor” more sensitive.

It's not super difficult to learn or play, so anyone could manage the strategy. Finding a more difficult way to play would be more entertaining. The pieces are nicely carved and sanded, and the game has a good weight to it. Very lovely, even if it is just meant to sit on a shelf.
