Assassinated Beauty: Photographs of the Manic Street Preachers

This had been sitting in my basket for a while, when one day I realised it had suddenly been reduced by quite a large amount so decided to treat myself (a 'no new books' rule can only last so long, after all).This has some lovely photos of the Manics at the start of their career.

This is a large coffee table book containing absolutely gorgeous photos. It would have been nice if there had been some commentary on the photos, but it is just nice to get a photo book of the Manics for an affordable price these days!

Amazing photographs of one of my favourite bands by a photographer i greatly admire. So, lots to recommend here; however my one gripe is that as a package the book is not of a great quality. The slightly glossy paper it's printed on feels thin, cheap and slightly tacky. It's a shame because there's nothing to criticise about the content, it just deserves to be presented in a book that befits the quality of the photography.

Fabulous book for any Manics or Cummins fan. Stunning, glamorous and truthful photos with a lovely interview between Cummins and JDB at the back. Would totally recommend.

Bought as a gift - great book about a great band!
