System Eickhorst's UV Colorscope EC is a UV lamp and viewing cabinet combined in a compact unit. A state of the art standard for testing diamonds and many other gemstones. Top window : Fluorescent Test in Transmitted Mode with glass UV filter. The high intensity of the powerful UV Lamp indicates even low grades of flourescence when the specimen is placed on top of the UV Filter. Lay specimen on the black glass surface of the Black Light UV-filter and view from 90 degrees to the emission of UV light avoids recognition of blue residual light. Florescent colors can be observed of the highest contrast and intensity. The Room Light Cover (hood) blocks surrounding light from the specimen and allows UV testing with the room light switched on. Bottom Window: UV-exit incident florescent test mode. This is the window at the bottom side of the UV-CSC for an overhead UV testing position. Fluorescent colors are observed in the traditional way, very comfortable when testing (for example) diamonds directly in the parcel paper. Removal of the UV Florescent Lamp is covered in the instructions. Place the cabinet with the opening of the hood facing toward you. The "table" cabinet where the UV Filter glass insert (about 2mm in height above the UV Lamp) can be pushed away from you, separating the two parts of the cabinet. The bulb is secured with a cable clip or zip tie. This can be cut to remove the lamp. Made by System Eickhorst, a high end manufacturer and family business for over 40 years founded by MSc Manfred Eickhorst's for his invention of the DIAMOND-PHOTOMETER. System Eikhorst has closely collaborated with customers from the gemology community to improve poor lighting conditions starting with the DIALITE series of lamps in 1976. Today many professions including dental technicians, gold smiths, watchmakers and visually impaired and elderly worldwide work with and depend on light by SYSTEM EICKHORST.
