Works well. Use them every time I go out on my kayak. Retractable points are a good feature.

I love this tool! It's convenient. When not fishing I clip it to the outside of my fishing backpack to save space. Because the scissors retract they don't cut or poke holes in things. When fishing I often clip them to my belt loop. When I need to tie a fishing lure or trim some fishing line they are quick and handy. Keep end mind that there is a trade-off for the convenience. These don't cut perfectly clean for thick diameter fishing line. Around 40lbs and below and they work great. Above that and they still work but it's harder to cut and doesn't cut as clean. I almost never have to re-tie anything over 20lbs so these are great for my needs.

they need to change the description! these are not retractable like you would think. there is no lanyard or retractable lanyard included. so they are only useful if you have a retractable lanyard or a lanyard to attach them. Or you will have to unsnap them every time you use them, or just lay them down or put them in your pocket. that being said they are very sharp and cut braid quite well. I deducted a star, because what the heck am i gonna snap it on? will need to buy a lanyard i guess.

Nice tool for fishermen. Never saw this before until took a trip to Canada. Smaller than it looks but does the job. Bought for the hubby as a stocking stuffer this upcoming Christmas.

This is a must-have for the serious angler. The blades are retracted and only come out from the device when squeezing the triggers, so you don't get jabbed while it's in your pocket or hanging from its built-in lanyard clip. It's small, the blades are extremely sharp and slices through tough braid with ease, It has an ergonomic grip for wet, slippery hands from handling your catches. The only reason I gave it a 4 rating for ease of use, is that the springs are exceedingly difficult to squeeze the blades together to make a cut. I'm an old guy and while fairly fit, the pressure it takes to squeeze the triggers to make your cut, is excessive. Arthritic hands may find this device somewhat difficult to use.

This little thing is amazing! It cuts everything with ease and has stayed just as sharp since i got it. The tolerances are nice and stiff which helps it cut i think and I've had it for a while now and it has had heavy use but still good as new. Really well made and would immediately replace if lost.

Works well on all types of fishing line and small enough to keep out of the way on your belt ! 😊

These scissors are the best that I have ever purchased. Mono line is always easy to cut, braided always requires tension to make a clean cut, except with these. Braided line cuts clean, without fraying and no tension required. I ended up purchasing a second set. Well worth it.
